A girlfriend came over tonight for a cut and hilites. I have to say I am fucking awesome. She had some jaaaaaacked up hilites to fix, major growth (we're talking 3" roots) and wanted it cut all off. I'm talking I cut about 6" off. It was below her shoulders and it's now a short asymetrial bob. I'm so in love with it. I kicked my own ass at how clever I am. Shes fucking hot now. Her hair is so thick it was like doing 3 haircuts. Shes going to come back in a week and we will go ahead and weave in another color. She said whatever I wanted so I want to go back over a few root areas (it was a MESS) since I didnt have time to do a full correction I just fixed what was the most obvious THE ROOOOOTS. If I had my way I would have taken her to a light brown base and then gone back in 2 weeks and given her hilites but her hair is so porous and the roots were so dark I wanted to kill one bird first... I'll weave in color next time. It will probably take 2 sessions to get the blonde to take color but I'm thinking I'll go 2-3 shades darker and let it slowly fade out instead of it fading out 3 washes into the color. But then again I don't know how porous her hair is now that the fried areas are gone. I think a few weeks of using Infusium (I swear by this stuff. over all the expensive crap I've used over the years) and her hair will be in top shape. Especially if we go towards lowlites and ease off the hilites.
