Things are Changing Again "rapido"
This is a pic from five or six years ago of Mike's siblings who live in South Florida. They have lived down there for some time, now, and have great jobs and very settled lives. Mike just recently took a job in Sarasota, Fl. So, he'll be able to be alot closer with his brother and sister. They are really nice people and Mike's sister is going to get married this year. Its very exciting to look forward to a wedding and then possibly being an Aunt again. As well, her fiancee's family is from Puerto Rico, and we have been invited to go to his homeplace to check out the island. Maybe at some point there will be a restaurant collaboration because Mike loves to cook, and Mario loves to cook, and they love to eat, and talk about food...Although, Mario has recently lost 16 lbs on Weight Watchers Diet...Thats exciting too!
So, Mike's been staying with Jason, and Tammy until he can get enough money together to take over Howard's pad. Howard wants to move to a condo. Howards pad will need some tweeking though, and Mike's got the tools and expertise to turn that situation around. Howard just put a new roof on his place but I think if we made the shower handicap accessible, you know like a lux hotel double shower and mirrored bath, the place would have more value to a prospective "Florida" lifestyle seeker. There is a pool on the property, and it is an adult exclusive community, so it is quiet (er) than some places. Back in P town, the neighbors only disturb me when Im desperate for sleep, or writing a paper with an impending deadline...
Mike is hoping to attend film school at some point. He may have to wait until he's made the leap to NY in a few years...Its always in the discussions though, so it must be something thats around the corner of shadows of reality...thanks tony robbins...
Obviously, there are alot of environmental challenges in southern florida...and I prefer more pastoral views of Florida, but away from any Cattle Ranching. I need to bone up on my Karl Hiassen dialogues again.
Maybe I can visit with Isa Traverso in Miami. Oh, need to work on my Spanglish as well, and I know Howard will help me in that respect. Looking forward to a bbq in South Florida, with Mike's Aunt Janice and Uncle Mark who live two clicks up in Tarpon Springs...
