So Cory and I got on the subject of WIC and foodstamps and the pathetic people who have them while talking about our jobs (Kroger and Meijer, of course). To make a long story short: we are genius, and we rule ( Read more... )

This is all I'm going to write before I give up on your backwards southern attitude. Dude, I don't give a shit what happened to your parents. Seriously. Right after saying youre "not priveleged," you go on to state that you live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood. That speaks for itself. My parents used to be poor, now they work 50 hour weeks and we live in a really nice house, and I consider myself extremely priveleged. That seems to be your case as well, except I can find it in myself to have some respect for people who aren't as lucky as I am, which seems to be impossible for you. Also, how are you in favor of giving people unemployment money, but not money for food for their kids? It seems like you'd rather take your anger out on these people's kids then on the parents themselves. Unemployment only lasts a certain amount of time, so it's not like anyone can live on unemployment benefits indefinitely. I'm not going to bother replying to most of what you said because you still sound like a bigoted moron, and nothing you said about politics made any sense at all. You're just one of the people who thinks that calling someone a liberal is going to insult them and shut down an argument.

And no, I have no problem with the word nigger, or cracker, or anything else unless it's being used to put someone down. And I don't remember mentioning anything about minorities or racism or ghettos or having gay friends or any of the random shit you talked about. In fact, unless I'm forgetting something I wrote, I didn't mention race in my comments at all, so don't even bother bringing that into your argument. I don't care if the homophobic shit in your heading is from a song, it says a lot about a person when they listen to hateful music. And uhh, no, I definitely have no love for Kerry.

Well throwing in the shit that happened with my family just seemed to run parallel with the shit you said about "shitty things happening to people". And my definition of a "nice house in a nice neighborhood" probably doesn't even come close to todays standard of "nice living", but I can at least say that it's not TOO bad without thinking that I am a priveleged child, which again, I am not. But yeah, I have respect for people who aren't as lucky as I am, if you can call my situation lucky...but I DO NOT have respect for people who put it on themselves and won't do shit about it. And about the whole unemployment thing, I am POSITIVE that I mentioned that it was temporary, WHILE YOU FIND A FUKING JOB, which many people won't bother to do in that period of time that they are mooching off of the government...unemployment and WIC are two totally different things. I'm pretty sure everything I said made perfect sense, if you have enough sense to understand what I am saying. And I never said that you mentioned race, but your little bit about the word "fag" being on my LJ led me to those assumptions. And I did make it clear that they were assumptions, since you have been so quick to jump to conclusions about my life. And the music would be hateful if they said "I hate faggots". It's definitely not hateful, because they use the word "fag", not to mention they weren't even motioning towards gays. Plus, I am certainly NOT homophobic in any way. But, as I said, I made assumptions, as you did, based on your arguement, which made you sound like any other fucking feminist/leftist asshole. I'm done with it...it's over.

My girlfriends mother is on WIC. Both of her parents have jobs and make good money. That aside, they receive it because the baby was born prematurely. The fact of the matter is WIC is good. Because formula is fucking EXPENSIVE! Seriously! I whole hearted-ly agree with you, (being a former grocery store employee) it can be fucking frustrating selling these items through WIC with completely undeserving and irresponsible parents. Especially if you think of the fact that it comes from hard working people's taxes. But just keep in mind that there are some children out there that are fed through WIC, and they definantly deserve it because their parents are awesome. -Richard Peyton.
