i learned that i shouldnt hit on a girl with a bf again. a lil bit too complicated for my taste.
anyways...
i just signed a deal with an hiphop indie label who is making a push to island def jam and universal...so they can distribute their artist on a global scale...i was pretty skeptic about it at first...but i met their artists and i met the owners and they had great business sense...one of the owners is an a&r for universal so he knows talent...and theyre all hot. the kinda of artists i would want to produce for. they got a 17 yr old singer from orlando who is one of the top cheerleaders in fla...who took only an hour and half to lay down her vocals...she was fire...it was crazy how frikken good of a singer she was...classically trained singer. and a rapper whos like 21 with style that can flip any beat you throw at him...and has a very good sense of pop music...im pretty critical of emcees, theyre few and far in between.
i drove a hard bargain...so theyre giving me 10% of the label...so technically i own a label...weird huh?...also, im not tied to the label meaning that i can produce other artist outside the label...but im pretty excited of the upcoming months because of the talent ill be working with.
also, i just picked up a brand new day job at jp morgan & chase as an analyst I. bingo bango. its a consistent pay and constant work hours that i needed...
in other news...my bday is comin up...so im gonna have a nice cup of tea with a lil yass floot in the background...
