On Saturday

Alright, I haven't bothered to update this yet, but here's a brief run-down of Saturday (which was really the only day worth talking about):
I went to a going away party for my friend Masa (he's headed back to Japan) at some dude's place. The only people I knew were Masa, my friend Jason, and this other guy Aaron that Jason brought with him. It was a pretty good time... one guy grilled hamburgers (ate one) and sausages (ate two), and there was plenty of beer (most of which Aaron and I drank). Mostly it was guys, but I met a pretty cool Japanese girl that Masa knew (her name's Yue---interestingly, the second Yue I've ever known; the first was this Chinese girl in my high school. However, in Japan, that's a pretty unique name... I've never heard it there before), picked up her number and an invitation to a house party (always good to have plans for the future). My (male) friends have been making remarks about me getting a girl's number, but I'm pretty sure this is more of a friendship thing (if it goes anywhere at all, that is). I'm going to invite her to the Einstein's tomorrow, since she seems to be the sort of person who enjoys meeting people (and, apparently, throwing house parties). It was fun talking to her though, and made for an enjoyable Saturday night. I walked her as far as the station after we left the party, and then I headed off to....

The Einstein's. Everyone was there, except for Peter, who walked in shortly after I did. Robbie and his band were playing (King Tobias and the Hotstepper), and the beer was plentiful. My kind of evening. I mean, really, I love the Einstein's, and that's why: is there anything in the world better than walking into a place and finding your friends, alcohol, and good music waiting? I think not. The rest of the night went basically like a typical night at the Einstein's, which is to say: awesomely.

That sums up my Saturday. Sunday was a wash (although I did catch a bit of the Much Music Video Awards down on Queen Street... Toronto is to Much Music what NYC is to MTV), Monday I worked and watched a movie (and ate some really good pizza). The movie was actually pretty good... darn, I can't remember the name of it. It had Heroes in the title, and Sigourney Weaver, and I think Bill Pullman (although maybe I'm getting my actors mixed up). At any rate, pretty good. But, I probably won't have anything really interesting to report until at least Wednesday... and that'll probably just be a typical night at the Einstein's (although that does occasionally lead to some really funny stories).
