Lots to update about
Geez, I haven't really kept up with this at all. So, let's see, where to begin?
First: my parents and brother visited me this past week. That was cool. For one thing, it's always good to see the family. For another, I got fed very well! I won't go into everything we did (because that would take a long time), but one really neat thing we did was hit up the Toronto Zoo. It's HUGE. I had never been there before, so that was a lot of fun for me! We spent a large portion of the day there, and only saw half or so of it. Also, in terms of getting fed well, the same day we hit up my favorite Dim Sum restaurant (well, more accurately, it's a Chinese restaurant that serves Dim Sum for lunch, but whatever). So, all-in-all, a great time!
Second: it's summer, which means it's filming time here again. So many movies get filmed at this residence. Two Fridays ago, they were filming until like 4 in the morning. Some Disney movie of the week thing called "Twitches". If you remember that Harold and Kumar movie that came out last year, a lot of that was filmed at my residence. Also, I'm told, parts of that movie "Superstar" with Molly Shannon, although I haven't seen it so I cannot confirm that. Actually, I haven't seen Harold and Kumar, either, but I recognize my own residence from the previews. It's amazing how many things I recognize from Toronto in movies and TV shows these days. I guess a whole heck of a lot of filming gets done up here.
Third: Last night was a good time---I went out with John, saw "Fast Hands" Dan Gordon play, hit up the Einstein's and caught the A's winning against the Jays, then went out for Chinese food. Pretty much the perfect Saturday night, 'cept King Tobias and the Hotstepper were out of town, so a much inferior band was playing at the 'steins. Well, what can ya do?
