Yeesh, I have got to get out of this town ASAP. Last night at 8 PM I head out with a few friends to the Green Room, which is a pub. Well, we sit around drinking sangria and beer for a few hours, and then head out at 12 or so. Well, clearly there's still a few good hours to kill, so Peter, some Irish guy, and I all head out to good ol' Einstein's. So we're sitting there at the ol' Einstein's, and we're talking about how in order for the real craziness to happen, you have to sit around drinking until around 2 AM. Sure enough, it gets close to 2 AM, and a couple of girls come down and sit with us and start chatting it up (Rachael, our usual waitress, was giving me the "what the heck are you guys thinking?" look; I didn't really know what to tell her). So, we sit around talking and drinking for a bit, the bar's about to close, and the one girl's like, "Let's all go back to my place!"
I have to admit, this is not normally the sort of thing I'd go for; on the other hand, I really wanted to know what the heck kind of girl invites three guys she just met at a bar to her apartment. Plus, I figured Peter would need me to get him home later. So, we head over there (we run into John and Kristen on the way, giving us a chance to say hi, which was also cool). We get there, the one girl falls asleep, and the who invited us and my friends and I sit there watching some Led Zeppelin DVD. In Seinfeld style, I'll throw in a "yadda yadda", and an hour later we come out, with Peter in worse shape than he was going in, and the Irish guy also in less-than-splendid shape, although better shape than Peter (it would've taken a lot of work to be in worse shape than Peter).
So, at this point, it's 4 in the morning, and they're whining about how they are hungry. So, I take them to an all-night diner (they whined about how long it was taking to get there the entire time, although it wasn't that far at all). We sit down, we have ourselves a nice breakfast (after I listen to them whine about how long it's taking the food to come... it didn't take very long at all, of course), we roll out of there a bit after 5 AM. They want to take a taxi, I'm like, "You're idiots," we walk home. Irish dude goes to bed, Peter and I watch an episode of Firefly (which is quite a good show; it's a shame it was cancelled), I get back to my room at around 6:25 AM, and here I sit posting this message.
All-in-all, an interesting night. What will be really fun is seeing how little of it Peter remembers when he wakes up.
I have definitely got to get out of this town.
