It is possible to step back and see everything at once.
All you have to do with remove your biases.
Unlearn what you have learned.
syncopate your rhythms and make new friends
what is the primary ingredient in your intellectual diet?
music? novels? drugs? textbooks? science documentaries?
whatever it is, try dropping it for a while.
stare at a picture for a long time.
try to describe it in 30 different ways.
the first 10 or so are the way your mind always works, but try to come up with something completely new. You'll surprise yourself.
We never stop growing
but being exposed to one system of philosophy
will leave you repeating the same epic struggles of your life
oscillating between your standard positions
tossing and turning at night between the two grooves in your bed you've created.
I want to challenge myself to look for the things I do not see.
Experience the 90% of this city and of my brain that lie fallow.
because your mind is like a field, if you keep overworking the same parts with a monoculture of thoughts, it will dry up.
it is possible to step back and see everything at once.
