Just passing through..

Soooooo... A lot has happened since I last updated.

I've finished my last year of didactic pharmacy school classes, started my final year rotations, I'm moving out of Oakland for (most likely) forever this weekend, I've dealt with a crazy person roommate's crazy person problems (insane eating disorder, suicidal tendencies, etc...), and, oh yeah... GOT ENGAGED TO MY MOST FAVORITEST BOY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!

We went to the regatta at the point downtown on July 3rd, 2013. I had suspicions that he was going to propose the next day actually because he made plans for a whole day. We were going to go running, go to the movies, go out to eat, and then go watch the fireworks at this park up on the mountain. We went to the regatta to watch the fireworks on Wednesday night off of the roof of the Wyndam and to see the Jefferson Starship concert. The concert sucked pretty hard actually, but we were enjoying just being downtown together and watching everyone. Then the fireworks started.

About a minute into it he asked me if I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him and he had the ring in his hand. I couldn't even speak at first and just kissed him. I finally said yes and he put the ring on my finger. We spent the rest of the show kissing and watching the fireworks.

The next day was amazing too. We got up and went for a run in Schenley Park, got showered and ate some lunch at my apartment, went down to the Waterfront and saw "This is the end" (craziest movie ever...), went to Barnes and Noble and picked out some books to read at the beach, had some happy hour celebratory drinks at Bar Louie, had dinner at Texas Longhorn (we were both seriously craving some red meat), and drove up to West End Lookout park. The park was super crowded with people that had been partying up there all day and there was a pretty good band playing until the fireworks started. We had a gorgeous view of the entire city. You could see fireworks being set off from all over the place. There was also a storm passing over in the distance so there was a pretty awesome lightning show going on at the same time.

It was a pretty amazing first day as "fancy and fancy" (as we've been calling each other). However, what we didn't realize is how freaking stressful planning a wedding is. There are SO MANY things to consider and decide. So far we've looked at one venue in Altoona, but I don't think it is going to work for us. I've been stressing probably a little more than I should about it for the past week or so.

We're thinking of getting married in October next year. Super tentative date of October 11, 2014. We've talked about waiting two years so that we can have a little more money to do what we want with, but I really don't want to wait that long, and I really do want to get married in October.

Anyway, I could go on and on, but I'm sleepy and I want to read a little bit before I go to sleep.

Its been a pleasure as always. :P
