He screamed in agony.
There was a flash of red light -and oh my God, he can't feel his legs anymore, but he's too scared to look at them because he doesn't know what he'll see, doesn't know what Cyclops did to them- and then he sees Wanda desperately trying to hex his legs. Trying to make the stumps fit together, or at least stop bleeding.
He was once the fastest man in the world, and now...even if he lived, he'd be a cripple.
And he can't live with that. He wouldn't be able to face the world from a wheelchair, having to depend on other people to live.
To move.
And humans would look upon him with...with a mixture of pity and disgust.
The same way his dad taught him to look at them.
And Pietro will never be prepared to deal with that.
