Aw, that's really good! You caught Agatha Christie's style very well, and Miss Marple's good sense and keen eye. Nice work.

Yay, thank you :)

I've read all the Agatha Christies more times than I care to admit to, so I'm glad it worked. I've been thinking this one over for days, and finally wrote it today.

The Miss Marple ones tend to creep me out, but the lady herself is cool, so I like the ficlet ^^

Ooh, there's one that I really won't read at night because it weirds me out. But I think AC writes 'nice' murders (not a lot of detailed description of horrid bodies, few characters you really care about so you're just interested in the plot) which I like.

See also Ngaio Marsh, PD James and Georgette Heyer (when she's not writing historical fiction) for other 'nice' murder stories!

And JAY said this one sounded like the original writing. Which is flattering because I don't think he likes most of my stuff (though he isn't shown much of the porn!)

Oh, which one is that? The three ACs that have made me too creeped out to sleep are And Then There Were None, A Murder Is Announced and A Pocket Full of Rye. But yes, they're not... gruesome, just sometimes a bit unsettling.

Well, I'm glad he agreed with me ^^

Sleeping Murder. "paws" - ugh. (Which isn't too much of a spoiler if you haven't read it!)

And then there were none is about the only one I almost NEVER re-read, actually, because it's DAMN creepy.

I'm not sure I want to, though...

Heh heh, I read it when I was ten and was all 'wbah. Waaaaah ;_;' but I recently reread it to see if it was as creepy as I remembered, and also because I was intrigued to see if it reverberated with BR in my head at all (you know, people dying on islands ^^)

ugh. it IS as creepy as your remembered. official.

and i have to say - you have a lot to do with BR - how the hell are you managing to be freaked out by Agatha Christie?!?

Yeah, it was ^^

I'm not sure! I mean, there's different degrees of freaked-out-ness, with me. Like... Saw both upsets and sickens me. BR upsets me a lot and sickens me a little. Certain Agatha Christies don't sicken me but they... unnerve me. Maybe because sometimes people die through 'accidents' - that always creeps me out.
