Fandom 11: Chrono Cross
Title: Magical Dreaming
Fandom: Chrono Cross
Rating: G/Gen
Characters: Nikki
Words: 107
Summary: Nikki begins his song.
Tags: spoilers

The song burst out from Nikki's guitar like a tidal wave crashing onto the rocks, like a floodgate thrust open, letting raw magic into the world, into everyone's souls through his own. The waves cleansed every soul around them, excoriating them with blue arcane flames, a winding dragon of melody, coiling in the endless cycle of the rhythm. Light and life, vital energy flooded through the island as every particle moved to the beat, excited into activity once again. The Spirits of the Island were waking up, two worlds drawing together to witness, pleased with the offering. The ghosts were solidifying. The island was coming to life.

Fandom 12: StreetPass Quest/Brandish
Title: Haberdashery of the Cat-Beasts
Fandom: StreetPass Quest/Brandish
Rating: G/Gen
Characters: Dela Delon
Words: 174
Summary: After her master's death, Dela Delon tried to set up again somewhere else.
Tags: humour, fusion

Dela Delon had tried to just set up again somewhere else after her master's death, maybe admit that she'd trained enough and it was time to go it alone with her own Arcane Tower. The Labyrinth of Laplaza was new and somehow different, they said, and there was a high turnover of people applying to be level guardians. It seemed like a perfectly comfortable place to work, with reasonable room fees, so she hadn't worked out why.
Until the first Adventure had been declared.
Cat-headed people everywhere, their battle meows echoing all through the halls of the dungeon (weren't cats supposed to hiss?). Inside every chest, a hat, and once they'd inevitably been looted (the adventurers just seemed to come back every time, regardless of how badly they were beaten), Dela was sent off for another one. Then there were the ghosts coming in and out at every hour, wailing and keeping her awake, recapturing the same monarch over and over again.
And that was how Dela Delon decided to become a bounty hunter.

"There's a bit of a job I need your help with."

By now, she knew, she should really have learnt never to agree to anything Tear asked her to do, no matter how tempting it sounded or quick and easy it was apparently supposed to be. There'd been good money involved, though, and she'd been desperately under quota. (It was all that little girl's fault, she mused, with her refusal to buy anything, ever.)

"I've got a friend called the Accord. Nice young woman like you. However, she was... injured at work. So now she has to take a very long sick break. All I need you to do is check in on her store, start and end a few quests, supervise the crafting system. Nothing different from what you're doing now, really, except the world is... a bit of a mess compared to here, admittedly."

"I have to travel to different worlds?"

"Oh, don't worry about that, you'll be doing the Agency a favour so we won't charge you for using the Fey passages."

"But who'll mind my shop?"

"Hire an adventurer to do it."

"What? NO! The last time I did that..."

"Don't worry, you'll easily make enough money to cover the cost of damages as well as your bill for this week. So, are you gonna sign on the dotted line or not? The opportunity won't come up again."

Fandom 14: Kid Icarus Uprising / Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure

Title: Trouble at the Mining Town
Fandom: Kid Icarus Uprising / Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure
Rating: PG-13/Gen
Characters: Viridi, Palutena
Words: 321
Summary: In which humans do not learn their lesson.
Tags: crossover, mild spoilers, creepy Viridi is creepy

"We had trouble over at the mining town again," Viridi complained, "A whole settlement of mountain spirits, displaced by some idiots using dynamite too enthusiastically."
"I do hope everyone was okay," replied Palutena.
"Apart from the humans who managed to drop rocks on themselves. And the spirits injured in the accident. And the ones hurt on both sides by the fighting before I could calm them down and send them back home. There wasn't much I could do about any of that, though," she sighed, "I don't understand why you're so concerned for the humans. This was all their fault."
"Let me see... because humans can't actually see nature spirits and have literally no way to watch out for them. Because other animals use tools and destroy their habitat and you never yell at them. And because it was a human who negotiated with the sprites for you in the first place and fixed the problems stopping them from being able to go home."
Viridi ground her teeth and snarled her frustration, "Fixing their own problem doesn't make them good, it just makes us even! And anyway, it was a human child. The children are okay if you get to them early and teach them respect for nature. In fact, if I could get hold of a bunch of children to be my worshipers..."
"You know, if you weren't also a child, that would come across as incredibly creepy. As it is, it only comes across as mildly creepy. Especially as I know the next step in your plan is going to be eliminating the previous generation," she sighed, "I thought we'd gotten past this stage."
"I'm a little cranky, I know, mining accidents always bring out the worst in me," the child-Goddess sighed and fiddled with her long, lush hair, "Honestly, you'd think that by now they'd memorise that horrible things always happen to them during mining operations around here."

Fandom 15: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2

Title: Cat's Paw
Fandom: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2
Rating: PG-13/Het
Characters: implied Airi/Jungo
Words: 311
Summary: Several Nekomata adopt Jungo, to Airi's despair.
Tags: sidequests, humour

When she'd seen just how many Nekomatas had taken up residence in the house, Airi had thrown a fit. They were all house trained, ate smaller demons who would otherwise have overrun the place and genuinely weren't up to any funny business with him except curling up next to him sometimes and demanding he pet them, sometimes while yowling loudly enough to wake up the whole neighbourhood in the dead of night. So, no different to normal cats. Except Airi had never  complained about the normal cats, even though there were five of them. Jungo wondered exactly who she was jealous of, Jungo or the colony of langorous catgirls who were all trying to sleep on the kitchen counter next to his chair.  He didn't say that, though, because he wasn't suicidal. He did, however, point out that he had no way of getting rid of what was, despite their cuteness, still a pack of quite powerful demons who now felt really territorial about the place. Besides, his own cat, the one who had run away and been saved by them during a demon incursion, had invited them all inside, so now the cat would also be angry at his rudeness if he evicted them.
"I don't see how its any less ethical than shoving them all in a COMP and making them all fight for us, which is what Yamato's gonna ask us to do if we report this in," he said, "Maybe I could train them to do other things. Serve meals or something."
This was apparently the wrong answer, as he was no having things thrown at him by Airi again. Also, he must have trodden on the tail of one of the Nekomatas in the confusion as they were all hissing and spitting at him. He sighed. Maybe he was the one who would end up leaving.
