Title: Under Her Control
Fandom: Mario franchise
Characters/Pairings: Peach
Rating: 15/gen

Summary: It is not the first time that Peach had been in contact with her darker side.
note: randomly selected fandom and theme ('Mad Dominator')
This was not the first time Princess Peach had seen her dark side. She already knew exactly what the potential for evil inside her could lead to if she allowed herself to fully unleash her prodigious magical talent without any kind of self-restraint. There had been a reason she did not ask Twink to allow her to wield the power of the stars herself. The ability to grant her wishes, to give life to her every whim... she could not trust herself with that again.
It was wrong that a human, a species that ate mushrooms, had ever been allowed to rule a Kingdom of mushroom-people, and her family's conquest of them had not been pretty. Her family had known that Bowser's Magikoopa division had trapped the captives inside soul-cages on that day but had still let Mario, their clueless champion, shatter the cubes without thought to its effect on their inhabitants, absorb the essence imprisoned inside them to aid his further conquest of Bowser's lands in the Toadstool name. They had known and had not cared, because those captives had willingly surrendered instead of holding out and believing in their Princess. This was the sort of people they were. That hereditary insanity was already coursing through her veins. She felt the mood swings every night, used far more mind-magic on herself to control them than was healthy. Not to mention that no human should be that good at mind-magic in the first place. She had even seduced a machine. She had been tempted to put the supercomputer to such grand, ambitious uses... all for the good of the Mushroom Kingdom, of course...
No, she was not a person she could trust with great power, which was unfortunate in a ruler. Maybe that was why she insisted on referring to herself as 'Princess' when there was nobody standing in her way should she decide to officially ascend to Queen? And maybe... just maybe... that was why she kept subconsciously slipping up all the time, allowing Bowser to kidnap her all the time.
Sometimes, on the darkest nights when it was hardest to control that 'other' her, she wondered if it wouldn't be better if she just admitted the Kingdom was safer with Bowser anyway. She soon realised it wouldn't work, though, whenever she caught a glimpse of the Koopa King's face and realised that he was already under her control.

Summary: In which the Manaketes learn that the dimensional rifts reach further than they initially thought.

"It feels good to sit in our dragon forms and talk with other dragons, doesn't it, Fa?" Even though you look more like a giant fluffy goose, the older Manakete girl failed to add.
"Weird-looking dragon if you ask Fa," the girl said, stuffing her face with a large vegetable, the juice and pulp of which was mostly landing everywhere but in her mouth, "Suspicious."
"Fa, that's rude. Ms. Abaasy is our guest. And don't talk with your mouth full," said Bantu, "And stop eating those aubergines. They make you hyperactive."
"But... but... she can't change into human form! Fa heard her say it! She's gonna go out of control!"
"No she isn't. She's from another world. They have different rules there. I've explained it to you already," chided Tiki.
"In truth, I find the idea of transforming into a human just as strange an idea. Why would one wish to take a weaker form? Is there some advantage of the human form I am not seeing?" asked the huge black dragon. She pulled the basket of Energy Aubergines further away from the youngest Manakete before she could grab another one. They had been her stockpile in case she had to fly a lot further than this and needed the energy but she was quite happy to give them away as exotic gifts. Energy Aubergines were rare even for her world. Hers no longer, she remembered, shaking her head.
"I wouldn't know. I have no other experience to compare it to, except, as the child mentioned, dragons who have lost control of their minds as well as their transformation powers," Bantu frowned, "I have known for a long time now that there are other worlds, entirely separate from ours, and that things have been moving between them, suddenly lost or gained. If what you're saying is true, this situation is different. You're from somewhere even further away, crossing an even stronger boundary. For something like a stable, permanent dragon to exist, it must be a very different world indeed."
"Believe me, there are stranger worlds. Ones with no dragons. Or life. Or fundamental laws of physics," the stranger known as Avalanche Abaasy sighed.
"Can Fa have a silly first name like you and your friends?" Fa chirped up.
"They're called Unique names," Abaasy corrected, interrupting Bantu's attempt to reprimand her for her continued rudeness, "And, yes, from what you've told me... you certainly count as a Unique. Let me see, what name should we give you?"
"Bratty Fa," suggested Tiki, "Fa the Goose."
"Hey, Fa is NOT a goose!" she screamed.
"Tiny Fa," continued Tiki.
"How about something stressing your divine, light-based nature, Fa?" Bantu suggested, desperately trying to calm down the screeching young dragons.
"Splendid. I can certainly sense your etheric aura," said Abaasy, "How about... Radiant Fa?"
Fa's now joyful screeching resounded through the old temple. I appear to have allies already, noted the Queen of Uniques. Maybe rebuilding will not take as long as I feared.

Title: Truth, Lies, Uncertainty
Fandom: Ys series/LiEat
Characters/Pairings: Efina, Geis, unrequited Geis/Adol
Rating: g/slash

Word count: 168
Summary: Lies concerning love are the most insidious and dangerous of all.
note: randomly selected crossover
Dragons do what they want here. They swan around in their true forms all the time, use their full powers. It's nice to see so many of us being honest, not hiding or suppressing who we are. People worship them, though, which I'm not sure is honest or not? I have no idea what qualifies as a God. I mean, they are sort of in charge of the cycle of nature around here. I think they eat things that the laws of nature say are due to go anyway, or something. They're very important dragons in any case.
I know there are is at least one person lying though. A man who has been following another man around for a long time but who won't come out of hiding, won't admit it's love, because it doesn't fit his tough, edgy mercenary self-image.
Like wounds that look small but fester, lies about love are the most dangerous. I have to help this guy, no matter how scary he looks.

Title: Heavy Plant Crossing
Fandom: Phantasy Star/Minecraft
Characters/Pairings: Wren, Mieu, Adan, Gwyn
Rating: g/gen
Tags: spoilers for Phantasy Star iii, fusion AU, Adan route
Word count: 300
Summary: They find a planet to colonise - but it isn't exactly safe.
note: randomly selected crossover
The initial scan revealed that the planet had breathable atmosphere. In fact, it was almost perfect. Analogous gravity, stable weather, signs of water deposits and plant life.
"It could almost be a second Palma," commented Mieu.
"I advise caution. Conditions this perfect are likely to indicate that there is already life here. We have no idea if it is friendly or hostile," Wren was busy checking his pulse laser cannon for any last minute repairs that needed doing.
"We'll need to think about how we're going to do this as well. We don't want to just land the ship at random. Assuming it even safely breaks orbit, we don't know what we'll do to the ecosystem. We need to decontaminate ourselves of all potential plagues..."
"Don't get too soft," Gwyn interrupted Adan, "We're going to have to make this planet our home, no matter who argues with us, or we'll be endangering our own people. As the cyborg pointed out, we don't know if the reception will be welcome or not."
"We'll still use up a lot of power getting to the surface, though. I'd advise teaching people how to start from scratch, build houses and grow crops, maybe some of the local fauna. I want to see people actually live there, not hide in the ship. It'll make for a healthier civilisation in the long run."
"Wren... did that plant just move?"
"We've seen moving flora on our ship, Mieu."
"Yes, and it tried to kill me. Why does that moving object over there have no life signs?"
"Probably a cyborg."
"Why does this world with absolutely no other sign of a developed civilisation have cyborgs?" demanded Mieu, "Wren, did that moving plant just EXPLODE?"
"See," Gwyn gave Adan a smug look, "Told you this world would be fun."
