Title: Alpha Predator
Fandom: Mother 3
Characters/Pairings: Dr Andonuts, no pairings
Rating: PG-13/gen
Tags: spoilers, foreshadowing
Word count: 152
Summary: He's proud of his new creation.
Note: Randomly selected fandom and prompt - 'alphys'
The Professor knew what he was doing to this world wasn't right but he couldn't help but feel proud when he saw the raw ferocity and flawlessly efficient killing capacity of the cyborg Drago. Already an apex predator, towering above the skyscrapers of New Pork City, it had become so soft it was considered an appropriate playmate for a child. It had only taken a few slight tweaks to the central nervous system to reawaken the beast. They would thank him if they were ever invaded. What world didn't want such an awe-inspiring guardian?
Master Porky had certainly been pleased, anyway, for once in his life. He was giving the scientist more free rein, less supervision, and that was something he could use when the time came.
And there couldn't be any consequences too bad of only fixing what human domestication, excessive interference in the food chain, had already caused... could there?

Title: Red Moon's Warning
Fandom: Chrono Trigger/Stella Glow
Characters/Pairings: Lucca
Rating: PG-13/gen
Tags: spoilers, foreshadowing, fusion AU, late game
Word count: 215
Summary: Lucca had always wondered why things from the sky hated this particular planet so much, and why exactly there had been Gato robots in the Black Omen.
Note: Randomly selected fandom and prompt - 'moon scape'
She had never liked the red moon. It looked too much like the horror from space they had once fought in a time and place that no longer existed. The moon couldn't be Lavos, that would make no sense, but...
When the full moon shone a dull, throbbing crimson, with trails that seemed to creep across the sky like blood veins or maybe the tendrils of a malicious plant, all of Lucca's Gato-bots came to life at once. The training robots, fashioned to look like comedically stout cats on two legs, held microphones and could sing in a warbling mechanical voice to announce the start and end of a match. They sang another song, one they weren't programmed to sing, shouldn't even have been capable of. All of them in chorus, perfect synchronicity, the song was overpowering in its flat, crushing despair, a funeral dirge for all life. As they sang, they attacked with a ferocity they also weren't programmed for.
Lucca didn't even remember why she painted them blue. It had just looked cool at the time. She had forgotten the things she fought in the Black Omen, horrible parodies of her harmless fairground attractions. She had forgotten to try and work out where they came from.
The tendrils were growing larger, coming closer.

Title: Dark Flame
Fandom: Chrono Trigger/Avalon Code
Characters/Pairings: Rempo, Lavos
Rating: PG-13/gen
Tags: spoilers, fusion AU
Word count: 163
Summary: Rempo sees flame and darkness, curses and destruction. It is not unfamiliar to him.
Mostly he could sense fire, and a lot of it. As much fire as of every volcano was about to erupt at once. The fires of the Ragnarok.
It reminded him of what he used to be. Back when Rempo was a curse word, the taboo name of the desecrator, the ruiner and poisoner of land and air.
The thing he has sensed explained that she came from the stars and that she was one of many. Where she lived, this was the normal state of life. A highly radioactive asteroid cluster, no ordinary life could survive. There was nothing to feed off. However, they were designed to travel through space until they found life, devoured it, absorbed its information, evolved, spread their legacy.
It frightened him, sickened him, but he supposed this was how the others had reacted when they first found him. Now they accepted him and made a deal, a sacrifice every new year. This situation couldn't be that different.

Word count: 260
Summary: The clan who were once called Hoshido and, through the long years of diaspora, would rename themselves Izumo, set off into exile.
note: randomly generated crossover
It was hard to trust dragons ever again but what could you do?
To suppress what she was would put her under more danger from it than learning to control it. It had been that way with her parents, their parents before them, down to their founding ancestors. It had been necessary during the long wars to have something out of the ordinary to protect the Hoshido clan.
Even with Nohr becoming ever more aggressive, their borders constantly advancing, the Empire hadn't been the problem, or any human threats. It had come from another world, from the realm of the Gods, or so their priests claimed. An angry God who had never exactly been benevolent to start with, who had always wanted an excuse to perform his duty and destroy what had been created by his sister.
Now that they had evacuated everyone they could onto boats, trying their best not to look back at their land that still burned as it sank beneath the waves, it was their chieftain's duty to lead the fleet to wherever their next home would be. As her father had stayed behind to stave off the enemy while the last stragglers fled, it was now up to her.
"Legendra," she told the child in her arms, one of the many reasons to cling on to hope for the future, "A land of legends, our explorers called it. Where deities walked among humanity."
The trouble was, nobody in Hoshido really trusted deities any more, and only one of those explorers had ever come back alive.
