Thor had avoided mirrors since he had first arrived on Kimera.
He didn’t want to see himself any more. He didn’t want to be reminded of Rai and he didn’t want to remember how much he’d changed. He didn’t want to see the look of the Beast in his eyes.
Besides, it wasn’t as though mirrors were very important. Nobody cared what he looked like as long as he did his job. Nobody was clean the way they had been on the Colony anyway.
After his DNA evolved, Thor found himself easier with mirrors again. It reminded him of things that he didn’t want to forget. Of Third and Tiz and of everything that had changed. More than that, it reminded him that his face was his own and every scar reminded him of what he had fought so hard for and why he continued to live no matter what.
