Well, someone read these, so I'll post another.

#0009 Random Qs

When you read someone else's survey answers is it in your voice or do you picture theirs?
If I'd never hear the person's voice, how could it be in theirs? If I have, then usually I do hear them speak, but I don't force it.

Is being able to hold a book in your hand a big part of the reading experience for you?
No. Unless it is a big print book, I prefer to read on my computer, where I can increase the letter size for my poor tired eyes.

When was the last time you experienced a change of plans and did this rescheduling bother you?
As an adventurous person, I often enjoy changes. When we get lost, I refer to it as an adventure. Adventures are fun.

Is there anyone who isn't technically family that you consider to be family anyway?
I'm so glad I'm a part of the Family of God! I cry when I sing that song. My earthly family is OK, but long ago I would have died from the pressure they put on me and everyone else to be perfect. Instead, God makes me perfect:

1 John 1:9

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 Corinthians 1:30

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

1 John 4:4

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

2 Timothy 3:16,17

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

In Greek, that word “furnished” is the verb form of the Greek word for “perfect”, to it would read, “That the man of God may be perfect, throughly perfected unto all good works.” What makes us perfect? Read the previous verse! Learn the Word, apply it, and it will make you perfect!

Who's been the biggest positive influence in your life, and how about negative?
Martin Luther. He would not recant what he had learned of God's Word. He stood for and against things I can understand, such as political authority, peer pressure, and obeying God in spite of it.

How often do you eat fast food, or how about restaurant food?
The only fast food I can eat is genuine Mexican food. Last night, we went to a wonderful Thai restaurant. I can eat their food, too. Most of time, I can't eat stuff.

Do you prefer to watch movies and television alone or with other people?
I do like to make jokes and comments about the shows I watch. It helps if someone is listening.

What sort of things were you into as a kid and have any of those interests stuck with you?
My love of sailing vessels started with reading Mutiny on the Bounty when I was 13. My love of Star Trek developed as I watched first runs of the original series. My interest in politics started with the Presidential election of 1968. I was all of 10. These things still interest me.

What was your first video game console, if any, and what games did you have for it?
That would be Pong. Wasn't that Atari?

Do you or have you ever had a "comfort food" and if so, what?
Chocolate. Chocolate covered chocolate might be my favorite. My favorite ice cream is Intense Chocolate by Creamy Creations, because the chocolate ice cream has fudge swirls around chocolate chips and is completed with chocolate chunks everywhere.

For me, however, what most people refer to as comfort food might just be my mother's enchiladas.

Is eating generally something you enjoy?
Sometimes. It's also a chore.

As a kid, which of your friends' houses was your favorite to hang out at?
My favorite place was the library, but one friend lived on farm, so that was cool.

What's something someone has said lately that's made you smile?
Mooooommm! (hugs)

Do you think of clothes as being "meant for" certain genders, or do you think people can wear whatever regardless of how they identify?
Wear what fits.

Is there a time of day when you tend to take surveys?
Early morning, or after work.

When was the last time you couldn't sleep and what about the last time you felt like you could sleep a ton?
Sleep is not hard for me, except sometimes I wake too early. Every day, I want to sleep in the afternoon, but work frowns on that sort of thing.

What was the last thing you were excited about?
Psalms 119:162

162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Is there anything that's gotten better for you lately, or what about worse?
My finances are doing better now that I get a pay check.

What're you listening to or what can you hear?
Mass Effect. She's always playing Mass Effect.

What does your life revolve around lately, if anything?
Work occupies a lot of my time, but my life revolves around God and His Word.

Is there anything adventurous you would like to do someday and if so, what?
My girls and I want to visit arcane tourist attractions is each state, such as the world's largest ball of string, or wherever that elusive jackalope lives. It might be with the hoop snakes...

What sort of things make you feel cared about?
Listen to me, and give me a kind word.

Is there any culture you were especially interested in growing up?
Ancient Roman/Greek culture fascinated me. Most people don't realize just how modern their thought processes were! For instance, Mars Hill in Athens had a law that no new gods could be worshiped because there were too many of them! To cover all the bases, someone erected a shrine “To the Unknown God”. Few people actually believed in all the gods, but most wanted to be safe just in case they existed. That was kind of like all the people who go to Church for social reasons. When Paul strolled up Mars Hill, some tried to trap him into introducing a new god, because that was punishable by death. Instead, he found the shrine to the Unknown God, and told them how the True God was unknown. This is still true today.

Can you fall asleep while cuddling or being in someone's arms?
Not really.

When was the last time you visited someone in the hospital?
It's been a couple of years; I don't like hospitals.

If you were an action figure or doll, what accessories would you come with?
I'd want to be an action figure with cool weapons and a bad-*** truck.

What sort of day are you having?
Mediocre

Is there anything that scares other people but doesn't scare you?
Adults spend a lot of time fearing things that never happen. Most people are tight little bundles of fear, but I trust God. He tells us to trust instead of fear, so I do. If I find myself approaching a condition of fear, I find a verse, such as:

2 Timothy 1:7

7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

1 John 4:18

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Psalms 23:4

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Romans 8:31

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Who indeed? Therefore, I have no fear.

Have you ever had a lucid dream, or tried to?
Many times. Before it had a name, I was doing it.

What's the longest you've ever been away on a trip?
I was away from “home” for a decade. Most people would refer to that as a move, but I never, ever felt at home in Virginia.
