While trying to understand the implications of communicating with his own feet, the confused Christopher allowed the aliens who had taken shoe form to consume most of the students of his high school. The cafeteria workers who had escaped tried to warn the town, but were tested for drugs instead. Unfortunately, one had been taking medical marijuana to handle the side effects of her cancer treatments, while the other had recently consumed large quantities of traditional homemade poppy seed bread. No one believed them until it was too late.

So, Christopher became the first hybrid of the invasion. His foot conquered the town.
