I lost 30# and it's still gone after 9 months. Also, I've learned how to hold my temper. That alone saves a lot of embarrassment and cuts down on stress and the dire health results that come from stress. Exercise can be a great stress reliever. I hurt all over. I don’t pretend to be in any kind of reasonable shape, so it comes as no surprise that I hurt. Yesterday, I did a lot. I did extra push-ups, performed kick drill again and again, then kata until I wobbled. Everything hurts, but I"m getting stronger.
