Writer's Block: Priorities
**Holy Spirit. There are so many qualities that would be important in different situations: honesty, loyalty, love, companionship, kindness, adventure, etc, etc, etc. The most important quality that he needs to have is to be born again. That way, as each of us grows towards God, we end up growing towards each other. So many people drift apart, thereby giving lie to what was once an 'ideal' match. This goes for simple dating as well as marriage. What is the divorce rate in this country? How many of those also claim to be Christian? The percentage is still too high, even though Christians have a lower rate. Divorce is too easy, but marriage is also too easy. It should be harder to get married so that people will be very sure they have the right spouse.
The second greatest quality is commitment. True commitment means that one does not give up, does not look for a way out. Why get married if you expect it to end? There is more to this, but let me make my final point.
Love and Respect are fraternal twins. Marriage needs both. Both parties need to give 100%. If you cannot give 100%, don't get married. Life goes on.
