[He opens the journal and speaks quietly, hoping not to disturb anyone.]

...It's been a bit cold lately, hasn't it... I hope everyone is faring well with the weather being as it is.

In my country, three days of cold are followed by four days of warm until the fully warm days of spring arrive and bring with them the cherry blossoms. [...I...was ( Read more... )

The cherry blossoms haven't fallen, yet. [As she's been taking care of each and every one, and promoting their growth with her brush.]

And I'm sure they'd like the company. I haven't had time to plan for a hanami this year, but I'd love to do it sometime, hopefully...

Ah... Thank you for informing me.

[After a short pause, he continues.]

...Perhaps this Sunday? It seems the weather is holding.

[Miyabi makes a quiet noise and nods to the thanks, then thinks. She's never too busy, but she is terribly forgetful sometimes, especially when priorities roll over her.]

Mm, you can visit the flowers anytime you'd like, sir. But as for the hanami...eh, I've never really been good at planning big things like that. Maybe I'll talk to someone else about it. [From what she's learned, a lot of people were interested in it, and that alone made her happy and wanting to go about it.]

Ah...I can organize that, if you would like. It is a seasonal pasttime for my people and I am the one intruding, so it would be impolite of me to ask you to organize.

Ah, you know about hanami? [So, he must be from a variation of Nippon as well. That puts a smile on her face.] No, no, you're not intruding at all. I'd love for everyone to enjoy the blossoms while they're still here. I'll even bring some things myself, so please, don't worry yourself. It's my pleasure, after all.

Yes. Hanami has been a much beloved tradition in my country for hundreds of years. Plums toward the end of winter, cherries in the spring... It is unfortunate there are no plum trees or I could make umeboshi...

[He bows his head.]

It is an honor to receive your hospitality. I hope we are not too much of a bother. I will be sure to bring things to share, too.

Then you must be from some kind of Nippon, like I am. [It's always nice to find someone who is. Not the same world, maybe, but the same customs and traditions...it made her feel less lonely sometimes.] Oh, if you're looking for plum trees. I could plant a sapling for you. One of the powers of my brush can make plants grow. I haven't had umeboshi in so long, it seems...

Hehe, please, don't worry about it! It's no bother at all, and like I said before - I'd love for anyone who's interested in the cherry blossoms to view them. I'm just sorry I couldn't plan it this year myself.

Ah...you could...say...that...yes. [As in, he is Nippon, but UH, keeping that to himself for a bit.]

...! If...you could plant a tree, then I could make the umeboshi for you...

And thank you for your kindness. It is an honor to be your guest.
