No Trust In The Postal Service

Dec 11, 2004 19:10

So, I was sitting around yesterday in the warehouse at the Royal Mail sorting office in Springburn, which is seperate from the sorting floor. It's where all the sorted packets come to be put on the back of lorries and get dispatched to varies places, and the like. Anyway, I notice a small package by my side on the floor. So I pick it up, and it turns out to be a chemical pathological sample that is meant to find its way to some University in England, I forget which one, but basically it had been sitting there since November 19th, because that is when it had been stamped. The place is a mess, there is no order or structure to it. It's ridiculous, and it is an absolute miracle that any mail gets anywhere on time...or ever, for that matter. So, really, I have lost all trust and faith in the Post Office after seeing how things actually work.
