Portland- Day 1
SO it's my first day in Portland and I am having a very good time. I am totally into this city. I spent most of the day with Chris Heberer. He took me all over downtown, it was fun, I am totally gonna be so broke from shopping too much. There are so Many FABULOUS stores here, it much more cosmopolitan than I thought it would be. I went to visit April at teh store that she works at. That is also very nice. Chris and I then went back to Mike's apt. where I took a nap for about an hour and a half. woke up texted my online friend Dom'nic and we made plans to do something. Which we did. We walked all over downtown as well, but he took me to the other parts where Chris didn't. He also took me to two gay bars, The Silverado and Scandal. OOOoh. they were OK. they weren't anything different than any other gay bars of their types. Tomorrow Mike should be home and he should be taking me around the city, and then Dom'nic said that he would show me around some more as well. Tuesday I have to meet with the store manager of my new home store, and we will also be talking to the tech coordinator. I guess I should be getting a pretty decent raise here, since the minimum wage is like $8/hour. but things are slightly more expensive here than in Milwaukee. I am pretty sure I am going to like it here A LOT.
