Jane Austen Book Club
So, I went to see this film this evening with Richard and his sister. It was good, I liked it. :) I really did like it quite a bit. It had all the best elements that a film should have: cute guys, funny girls, interesting dialogue, good story lines and plot. It was very entertaining. I have always enjoyed Jane and this followed suit. It was a pretty interesting take on a Jane Austen novel, it definitely resembles several tales that Ms. Austen weaves, a group of very different women getting together to find love and romance in a very convoluted kind of way, with twists of who is interested in whom, and matchmaking and all the deception(trickery, perhaps?) either way it was thoroughly enjoyable. Mostly all I could think about was how I wanted a boy to like me enough to read something for me, like the Maria Bello/Hugh Dancy relationship, or towards the end when Purdy gets her husband to read to her while she lay in his arms and falls asleep.
