Perhaps Snape had left the book in there? It was worth a try. He pushed the door ajar and peered inside - and a horrible scene met his eyes.

You shoulda seen the group of us at the DH Book Release! We were sitting on this lovely park bench in Union Square, on a warm summer evening, outside the flagship Barnes & Noble three-story building....giggling like Beavis and Butthead as we read aloud the passage where Lucius Malfoy jerked his wand. :P
