so...has anyone started plants from seeds indoors before?

i got a greenhouse kit kind of like this. it doesn't have the peat pellets..it has peat pots that i filled with organic potting mix. but the outside "greenhouse" part is the same.

anyway...i planted some seeds and watered them on sunday and put the cover on. today when i checked on them i noticed that the lid is all covered with condensation. is this good or bad? i found conflicting answers online. some people say it's normal and good, others say it will cause moldy plants...so which is it? should i be trying to wipe away the condensation? is it good to a point? is there a stage in plant development when i should be removing the lid? what's the deal? obviously, the kit didn't really have good instructions on this topic.

i had no idea this seed starting thing would be so complicated.
