who knew it would taste good?

ok...so, last time i was at the grocery store, i was inspired to get some raw sugar snap peas to eat in my lunches with some kind of protein-ish kind of dip. i had hummus the past couple days, but i didn't really like the way it was tasting with the sugar snap peas. i'll stick with carrots for the hummus from now on.

i noticed that i had put leftover eden organic spicy refried pinto beans in the freezer when i was getting out dinner last night, so i put the beans in the fridge to thaw overnight. this morning i packed some of the beans in my little dip container and heated them up in the work microwave just now. using the beans as dip for the sugar snap peas...so good. ok...maybe it's just that the spicy refried beans are so good. i was worried they'd taste weird together, but they totally don't! i will definitely be using the rest of it as a dip for my veggies tomorrow.

i normally do not like refried beans. i don't *dislike* them really, but i don't think they taste delicious either. and at certain restaurants, i do dislike them and usually avoid them as i do not trust them to be vegetarian. but these ones, i like a lot. i recommend them.

and supposedly they have a black bean version too, although i haven't seen it at the grocery store. i love black beans. that would probably make them taste really good in a different way!

i just finished eating what i had brought, and now i really want more.
