Title: Checkmate [Temporary]
Characters: Junsu, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Yunho, Changmin, Dongwook (surprise pairings! How fun!)
Rating: PG-13 to NC-17 (?)
Genre: Romance, Action, Smut ( will be warned in the story on where to stop and begin reading- optional read)
PLOT: A mercenary team that exists without a name-no one knows who and what they are but their missions had always been run like a simple game of chess. Schachmatt. Schach meaning “king” and matt meaning “he is dead”. And in our native tongue, for short, we say-Checkmate. It’s a code for them meaning game over to the enemy. And as far as the game of chess goes, there are 3 roles that have been assigned to three special members of the organization. The king, the queen and the knight-they are the ones in charge of this team with the king as the highest position. But on the day of their last mission before their yearly break, the king was ambushed-a mistake on their part. A fatal wound was the good bye present for their king. What happened? Nobody knew. But of course, only the story of the given evidence was the only reasoning they could find. A close ranged shot firing through the body breaking the spinal cord. The chance of survival? None. And so with only hours left to live after being rushed to a hospital, this king worried for his brother’s future for it was only the two of them that were left behind in this world. At an early age, their parents have left them, never to be seen again. It was only them that got along together. And so knowing his brother’s grief, he took his laptop and cell phone filled with memories and gave it to his brother named [insert name of the boy of your dreams here].
And here he said, “Whenever you need protecting or when you’re lonely, someone in here would always be here for you because I can’t stay by your side anymore. Just call on him and he will be your knight. His name- is Rose.” And with these words, it was definitely checkmate for this nameless organization. The king-had died. No one knew the reason for this mercenary team’s sudden disappearance. People who searched for this group to obtain its valuable information had always come across a dead end. And so the same question always lingered. Who are they and what was their motivation for doing the things they do? From description, these men had always been the talk of the ruthless underground world. Merciless, ruthless and unforgiving are what many would describe them. But of course, they are no ordinary men at all. Highly skilled and highly trained, these people are the best of the best.
But their king had died, and for them it meant-checkmate.
