Well, today is golf tournament day at work. Every year we divide up into teams and create a nine-hole mini golf course through the office, with each team designing and building one hole (with no money from the agency). Then we all play the course for prizes (best team score, best individual score, worst individual score and best hole design).
Last year, my team had the Debra Fish Resource Library, so I made a giant fish to put through. This year we got one of the classrooms, so no inspiration from the name of the room. Fortunately(!?) there was a poster on the wall of the cover of one of the books we publish. It was Good Going!, a book on toilet training. Did I mention that we publish early childhood educational materials? Well, we do.
We took inspiration from the book cover and made the hole all about potty training. The cup is a potty chair that lights up and sings. Before that, though, you have to get past the diapers. You have to putt up a ramp and through one of three tubes. One of the tubes drops you in the clear with a straight shot to the finish. Another drops you in a diaper stained with yellow food coloring (you see where this is leading, don't you?). The final tube drops your ball into...you gessed it, a diaper filled with what looks very much like baby poop. It's actually a melted mixture of Milk Duds, Snickers and Payday.
I'm so twisted sometimes. They should give a prize for grossest hole. I'd win for sure.
Later. Namaste.
