A strange, strange occurrence this was. Scout didn't know what to make of this place since her dreams usually brought her back to her home in Boston. All her dreams were set in places familiar to her, but this place, it wasn't like anything she'd seen before. Everything but the man a ways ahead of her was new, so she naturally gravitated towards the one face she did find somewhat familiar.

"Uh... Snipes? That you?"

Looking up from his carving, he gave his eyes a moment to adjust to the light, recognizing the woman ahead of him even though at this point in his life he hadn't met her. And she probably hadn't been born yet. "Heya Scout. What are ya doin' out here? Seems a mite early fer you t' be up an' about."

There wasn't any of his underlying grouchiness, he seemed to be genuinely interested in what he was asking.

"You're tellin' me." The time of day screamed early morning, but that was the least of her concerns at the moment. Going over to him, her gaze never quite strayed away from him despite her curiosity since for one, she wasn't entirely sure that this could be the same grump she'd met before. "I just kinda woke up out here."

"You slept out here? Temptin' fate, yer lucky you didn't wake up with somethin' tryin' to eat ya." He set the wood carving down by his side, giving an experimental tug on his fishing line before reeling it in to check the bait.

"What're ya doin' in Australia anyway?"

Feeling the heat, Sammie was glad she had her hat on. Re-adjusting it to shade more of her face she looked around, and began to make her way to the little grove. Hat or not, she wanted out of the sun.

Once reaching the grove she went straight for the lake side, she was thirsty and want to drink. She stopped as she got to the edge, someone else was there. Turning she looked at the man under the tree, staring at him hard.

"...BLU?"

"Heya!" He looked over, smiling softly. "If ya came out t' do any fishin' you'll have to find another spot. This one is mine. An' not real good it looks like."

He tugged on the line, testing it, but still no bites. With a shrug he looked back down to his carving, pulling out a smaller knife to work some finer details.

Sammie was more than a little taken aback by the open friendliness, but approached him anyway.

"Fishin'?"

She looked out at the line and the water.

"Daddy, used'ta say that catchin' fish only ruins th'fishin' experience. S'all about the relaxation then th'fish. Mind if I sit with ya?"

"Reckin' that's not a bad philosophy. Though it's a mite hard t' eat the experience." He nodded towards her. "Go roight ahead."

With each stroke of his knife the bird he was carving took shape, feathers falling into place to depict an incredibly detailed kookaburra. As it turned out, BLU had more skills than just sniping.

[Ah. Once again he's not in his usual dream setting. This is all terribly disappointing, it's hot and there don't seem to be women about.

He squints into the distance, noticing the figure in the distance. He makes his way toward him as silently as possible, trying to figure out who it is.]

Sni...per?

Not even startled Sniper looked up at Spy. "G'day! This don't seem loike the kind of place t' see you around. Unless you started fishin' when I wasn't looking."

Smiling down at the carving in his hands he pulled out a smaller pocketknife, shaving away at some smaller details.

[Eugh, that smile is offputting. What are you doing, Sniper.]

I came 'ere on a whim. Funny, I expected you to scowl about me sneaking up be'ind you.

"What for?"

He didn't seem to particularly care that there was aa deadly RED Spy behind him.

She wasn't very surprised when she found herself out in the middle of nowhere, long used to the nightly wanderings she had in the minds of Paradises' citizens. Half resigned, yet half curious, she takes a moment to admire the lake in front of her before she noticed the trees and a somewhat familiar man sitting underneath them.

Sniper stands suddenly, pulling his fishing rod out of the holder and slowly reeling it in. From the tension and bowing of the line he's caught something rather big. But it's fighting him.

The sight of the younger Sniper brought forth slight alarm and resignation; she was trapped in his dream now. She didn't know exactly how much he had de-aged here, but it seemed to be a fair bit.

When she reached him and saw him fighting the fish, she politely asked "Do you need any help, Sniper?"

"Nah, I got 'em." He grinned as he reeled the fish in, giving a low whistle. "Well that's a beaut." He didn't seem concerned that his future boss had shown up thirteen years in the past, instead he busied himself with the fish, prying the hook out of its mouth and sliding a rope through it's mouth and out it's gills, tying the rope to the rod holder and letting the fish swim in the shallow water. Like a leash for the fish, letting it swim around and stay fresh until he was ready to leave.

"I wouldn't peg ya as th' sort to go wanderin' around th' bush. Decided t' take up fishing?" He wiped his hands off on the blanket he was sitting on before impaling a worm from a bucket on his hook and casting the line out again. "I can teach ya if you loike."

This was pretty peaceful, though Chibi didn't know what the green thing was. It wasn't alive though and he passed by it to sit beside BLU.

He grinned as the pup came and sat beside him, evidently unsurprised that he had shown up. He reached out a hand to pat his head, holding the bird carving out at arms length.

"What d'ya think Chibi? Think she'll loike it?"

Barking, Chibi sniffed the carving with a wagging tail. He liked it, even though he didn't know who "she" was. Maybe BLU would tell him if he waited. With that thought, he looked back up at his friend.

"It's a kookaburra. Brandy's been wantin' one fer a while. I guess ya can train 'em to talk, but we got too many pets as it is." He reached out and ruffled the pups fur.

"You hot with all that fur?"
