Jak arrived a bit after Daxter, having taken his time to calm down after his conversation with Phoenix. He didn't want to be mad when he met up with his best friend again.

For him it hadn't been that long sure but Dax had said he'd been here for almost a year. That was a long time for them to be separated...it was a separation they both knew too well.

He looked up and tried his best to smile at Daxter. His anger was still there but it was slowly going down. Seeing Daxter was helping though.

"Hey Dax."

Daxter knew Jak well enough to see he was upset about something. The only thing he could think of was that someone in the city had pissed him off. But...Jak had always had a volatile temper after the Dark Eco experiments. He just hoped his buddy hadn't run into who he thought he had.

And really, the fact that he cared about Jak more than just about anything else was the reason he put up with half the crap he did...his fault or not.

"Hey there big guy. Ya look like you met the biggest jerk alive on your way here," he noted, climbing right onto his usual spot on Jak's shoulder guard.

Jak looked at Dax out of the corner of his eye. The familiar weight was nice and strangely comforting at the moment. But then again when Daxter wasn't on his shoulder Jak tended to worry about him.

"I did. Some guy named Phoenix. Claimed he knew me then made some threats."

"Figured it was the Dark Warrior hating vigilante Eco pirate," Daxter groused, leaning on the side of Jak's head comfortably and patting his head sympathetically. "For a good guy he's a real pain in the ass...and listens about as well as a yakow."
