leveling out.
well, brandell and i just signed a lease on an amazing house. i am so in love with this place. its 3/2, 2 story, high ceilings, garage...it is amazing. i never thought i'd be able to afford a place like this at this stage in my life. of course, affording it *is* a bit of a problem right now, but that's because we just had to pay the deposit, etc and first month's rent on back-to-back paychecks. yeah. we have $30 to live on until friday, and i had to borrow money from my boss to pay my cell phone bill, but whatever. i am happy.
the job is going better. i have keys and a raise and all that happy crap. some of the people i work with are total fucks still, but some things can't be changed.
oooh, i am getting the best pet, ever! his name is darwin and he is a LEGLESS LIZARD!!! eeeeek!!!!! he totally trips me out. he looks like a snake, but with a lizard's head. he's off-white, tan, and greenish with red-orange markings. such a pretty animal. i have always had problems with snakes, but darwin doesn't bother me. he doesn't move like a snake, and he doesnt have the same range of motion. however, he is quite accomplished at climbing in the neck hole of your t-shirt and out the sleeve. he makes me giggle. my friend jenn that's giving him to me is joining the peace corp and cant travel with him, so she wanted to start early finding him an actual home, rather than just giving him to a pet store like a dickhead. she told brandell about him, and when he told me, i freaked out...did not like the sound of it at all. but i said "ok, fine, i'll meet him and see how i feel about it." jenn brought him over yesterday and i held him for a few seconds and couldn't deal with it (i had just woken up...), so i gave him back. after i had a cigarette, i held him again and totally fell in love. we're getting him in two weeks, once our financial ship rights itself and stops taking on water. yaaaaay!!!!!
