You used to use grinding powder- what's it made of? I need silicone carbide (I think - apparently also known as corborundum) for use in a rock tumbler (I want to try tumbling some rocks =)) - and no-one in ght seems to have a clue what I mean or where to order it...

Carborundum or silicon carbide grit. Those are the words to google for under site:za. I used the yellow pages, and found a place in Durban, and paid them a visit when I went on holiday with Lynne

If RUCUS had kept memper web pages online you would have been able to google for the page I made of telescope making resources. The address is from 1998 so who knows if they're still there:
