(no subject)
hey. wow, i've got a lot to update on, i guess i'll go back to butoku kai camp (karate camp for those of you who are uneducated in that area). it was pretty sweet, i spent a lot of good quality time with elysia the first couple days that i really enjoyed. i enjoyed the training, i enjoyed the company, i enjoyed the food, but i did miss having christians to be around. so the week was good, the banquet thursday night was good, the test on friday morning was good, o yeah, at the test, normally they have the black belt candidates spar with black belts right, like second degrees or higher, but this year, they decided to have me, elysia, and dk spar the people testing for black belt. now you must understand, in the butoku kai organization you have to be 18 to have a black belt, well none of us are 18, so technically in the organization we all are brown belts. so they had brown belts spar the black belt candidates for there test.. awkward? yes. but w/e, just gives me one more point of confidence that i will pass my test next year. but anyways, the week after that i had church camp at lake ann... that rocked. the first day was kind of a bummer because i found out i was with no one from my youth group except for these two quiet kids so i had no friends in my cabin, and our sister cabin consisted of no one i knew also, so i was flying solo all week. then we have to do this lame cheering thing and make a mullet out of yarn so it was dumb. but the speaker (i think they do this on purpose) spoke on how you should rejoice in your sufferings and that situation so i tried to get over it. so by tuesday i was making friends with everyone and having a blast. i made some sweet friends and i miss them all right now. ricky, amanda, elyse, heather, corie, all the other guys in my cabin.. except fernando (no offence ferny) he just didn't strike the right chord for me. i also miss steph.. and bethany. but anyways, so on the fourth of july, i'm sure everyone all had a big party or went to one or went out of town or something of the sort. well i.. went to ericka's house, and i had a swell time there, it wasn't a big shindig or anything but it was just a bunch of us hanging out. and it was cool because it was a group that before camp wouldn't have existed together. me, ericka, alaina, melissa, eric, andy, alex, jenny, jayme. a few of those don't normally mix, but on the fourth they did. yeah so that was cool, we watched 'finding neverland' which was pretty good i guess. then on tuesday i hung out at erics house. then on wednesday.. o wednesday, what a glorious day. so on wednesday, me, eric, greg, and mike went to a concert. this concert was in detroit at st. andrews hall. this concert had performers such as blindside, showbread, and the showdown. this concert was the sweetest time i ever had! the showdown, dont' listent to them very much, but it was pretty sweet for an opening act. they're all hardcore southerners though but it was pretty funny. showbread.. o my, i love showbread, they were they best band there for sure. they performed an awesome show. they said the sang for Jesus Christ when they were on stage. one of the vocalists jumped into the crowd, hit me on the head with his chest because no one saw him coming to catch him, so i grabbed him by his shoulders, he looked at me, then held the mike out to me as i screamed his lovely lyrics "but your mouth is like a magazine" plus i got the top half of a broken drumstick the drummer used, and o yeah, the drummer was tight! he was flipping his drumsticks in the middle of the song like the whole time. it was awesome. so after showbread was done performing eric went over to the singer that was doing all the talking (they have two vocalists) and told him he liked how he proclaimed Jesus on stage. so that was cool, anyways blindside came up, and they rocked pretty hard too, they did 3 new songs which were all good. so after the show i got a showbread shirt and mike got a blindside shirt and then we were walking out and i saw showbreads other vocalist so i stopped to talk with him for a little bit, that was cool. so by the end of the show i got a bump on my head, an injured finger, a bruised forearm, a blindside poster, a blindside sticker, a showbread shirt, and half a showbread drumstick.. o and a pink lemonade and a bean burrito. so anyways that was cool, o and i haven't had to work all week which rocks because i hate my job and i'm quiting soon anyways. and i also got flyleafs e.p on sunday.. or monday or something and blindsides dvd on wednesday along with 'the last samurai'. so then yesterday i went to see 'war of the worlds' with my sister because it's her birthday today but she has to work all day. and then today i'm gonna go see 'dark water' with a bunch of people from church and then probably chill with some people afterwards. and my sister stole my phone because she lost hers and she had to go to work so now i'm without a phone and i feel lonely and naked. so i think that's all, and for those who were complaining about me not updating, was this one long enough for you??
