[Kurama takes the acknowledgment as a sign he won't be immolated without warning, and quickly scales the tree. He stands with his back against the trunk, balanced on a branch near Hiei's as if the drop back to the ground is only a matter of a few feet.]

Genkai will be pleased to have her back.

["Here" meaning the tree, and as mild as Kurama's attitude seems just at present, he's not likely to let Hiei talk his way out of the question by twisting the meaning.]

[It would have been perfectly appropriate to sigh or otherwise express frustration at this juncture, but Kurama simply stares out at the forest as if he's perfectly content to be there--and he is. He's also a tad bit cold, but he has no intention of leaving Hiei alone unless forced to do so.]
