I keep having dreams about life in NYC. Its so close, but so far that it seems a distant unreality. I have my boots, several coats, my iBook, and my tap shoes, a few scripts, a DRAMA book I stole from HAC that has every important play ever in it, and I'm in the process of crocheting a scarf ( Read more... )

See, I'm past the constant buzz, in to the oh shit what do I absolutely need to do before I leave stage, cuz I'm doing a summer program at my studio first, so I only have a week and a half left in Wisconsin. And there's a part of me that is so ready to out of here, but the closer I get to actually being there, the more I focus on the good stuff here.

wow, wisconsin to ny... how awesome and thrilling and terrifying. but i guess its the same for all of us, right? what studio? and btw- i totally agree on the focusing on the stuff here and now while you are here, for now.... im trying to get as much info and love out of my friends/mentors/family members as i can while i still can. good luck with the summer program! let me know what its like! im so excited to find out what we're getting ourselves into.

Well, it's probably not Wisconsin like you're thinking of it. I'm from Madison, which is the capital and pretty big (the second biggest city in the state) and very liberal. So it's less of a change than if I was from the small rural conservative part of the state.

I'm in Adler. I love it there. I did a summer program there last summer, and I'm going back for the advanced version of that now. It's absolutely the right place for me, and I feel so fortunate to know that already, rather than to just think it's right for me.
