This is actually the second of two entries today. Scroll down to the
next for another entry if you really want to expose yourself to this type of stuff.
I am of the opinion that anyone contemplating suicide is so totally selfish and
obsessed that they cannot be in their right mind and are demon possessed.
I am not implying that life can't lead you into desperate straits and into a state
of despair. I am saying that a person in this situation has become susceptible
to Satan's influence and is not the person, the child, that God wants to love and
to receive His blessings!
A person taking his own life leaves behind a huge wake of grief and mourning!
Is this the intent? To leave his loved ones with such wounds that they will never
overcome? It is sad enough to contemplate the disaster this satanic, selfish
act begets...but let us consider some of the "collateral damage".
A man threatens to jump off of a railway overpass, onto another railway below.
The authorities are notified. This is very serious. Both railroads are shut down
until this situation is under control. The situation is not rectified until ten hours
later. Ten train crews on either side of the impasse are directly affected. This
is 40 people, not counting the dispatching office personnel. Beyond these 20
crews are dominoes falling that perhaps include hundreds of other personnel.
Crews waiting for the train that will take them home to their families that is now
hours and hours away. Their family is hours and hours away...
Men cuss and say things that they normally wouldn't utter. Women despair
because they must be without their husbands for days, instead of hours.
Perhaps these are insignificant worries considering a man who has reached
the end of his rope.
But is it the end of his rope only? Is he alone in his struggles? Does his rope
not connect with and intertwine with all of the ropes of humanity? Has he not
noticed that we are all being pulled...or that it is up to us to join this "tug-of-war"
or let go, and then everybody else falls down!?
I'm telling you...all he has to do is look around and yell, 'Hey, I need some help!"
and who among us would not rush to his rescue?
A person contemplating taking his own life has forgotten the value of the lives
of every other person on earth.
