Well...I had a little accident the other day. I'm perfectly fine now (a few bruises, but nothing horrible), but as soon as I got out of the infirmary I heard that Mr. Armando had been rushed to the hospital! The guards wouldn't tell me much, but I hope he's all right. Or will be. Mr. Wright... I know there's little chance you'd be reading this ( Read more... )

Yes, I know. It's not as if I'm any different, but... I just don't understand what good it does anyone to make enemies in here. Is that how they want to spend the time they have left?

Perhaps these men are driven to make their mark on the world before they go-- even if that mark is a scar.

Despite being one myself, I'm not so sure I ever will either. Dealing with other people isn't exactly my specialty.

Nor is it mine. A small village in the mountains was my home, good sir, and we kept to ourselves-- for the most part.

I imagine you have had a similarly isolating experience, as an invalid.

Actually, I haven't been this way my whole life... I had an accident a few years ago that damaged my legs. But before that I was living in the circus, which has its own way of isolating people.
