Iron Pour 2004
I am going to my first Iron Pour this weekend. On Saturday to be specific at the University of Kentucky campus metal shop. I am so excited. If you don't know what a metal pour is I will explain. It is where a bunch of artists design a mold and melt scrap iron down to pour into the mold. This cast iron process is very interesting and fun. If you like fire then you should definitly go to one. It begins at 10am Saturday and ends whenever they feel like it's over. It is amazing at night to see the fire shoot into the air as the cast is filled and when you first bust the mold away you get this amazing feeling like a birth.
