I promise, the next post will have nothing at all to do with
yuletide (for better or worse). But! The big author reveal came and went, and I was in Arizona falling on my ass in mud whilst attempting to play golf, but I figure better late than never.
I wrote
Twilight, a Boston Legal fic featuring my favorites Alan, Denny, and Shirley for
twistedchick who requested something featuring a lot of the characters. Since I usually obsess over focus on Alan, three characters passed for "a lot" in my book, and she seems to have enjoyed it, so I guess three was enough. In case you were wondering, you could probably identify the fic as my from the fact that a) it has Alan quoting Yeats and b) the title bears no relation to anything. At all. I also wrote a 200-word (BL) ficlet that's up on the Yuletide site if anyone's inclined to look it up. I really wanted to write "5 Times Alan Shore Ruined Christmas," but I had the idea (inspired by the real-life ruining of Christmas by my little sister!) at about 11 PM on Christmas Eve. Perhaps another time.
Oh, I also got a lot of wonderful (and very generous) feedback. To which I still need to respond. If any of my feedbackers are reading this, thank you!
The lovely Brick story that was written for me,
Live a Little (The Two Things That Kill You Every Time) was authored by
starrysummer, who I cannot praise highly enough. She even thanks Bob Dylan in her author's note! Again, if you haven't seen the movie, see it, and then read this.
Aaaaand, finally, I'm toying with writing Kavalier & Clay fic for the New Year's Resolutions. Someone requested Tracy Bacon in Hollywood, and...he canonically is acquainted with Orson Welles. It'd be folly to resist.
