thanksgiving 2004
tonight I am thankful for:
the Lambic Framboise malt liquor with raspberries.
and
the white wine i drank during dinner.
and
i the red wine i drank throughout the night for the lack of red haired friends to giggle with.
and
the sweet potato pie Brendan made.
and
my tyrannical belief in the set-in-stone rules of scattergories, dating back to good old days of Mark Lutwak and Sara Kohl.
and
for putting my fears at rest.
and
for the Rana family in Nepal.
and
for little white cats that lick their paws.
and
for long lost english cousins.
and
for allowing myself to fully enjoy being me for an evening.
and
for not letting Jeffrey Lindstroms comments ruin my thanksgiving.
and
for serious talks and long walks with my aunt.
and
for the little freckles that are splayed across my cousin's faces.
and
for having so many surrogate brothers to rely on.
and
for being alive so I could enjoy getting tipsy off white wine and laughing to myself because there is so much under represented humor in so many things.
