With Shiba at the performance in town, this was the perfect time to break into her house and get revenge for her tampering with his nicotine patches. It wasn't terribly hard to get in and find her room. You only had to follow the smell of gun powder

Kerrigan had sensed the intrusion earlier, yes, this much was true, but the fact of the matter was that as with many things on the island, she didn't care. At least, she didn't, until the intruder in question strayed a little too close to her own possessions.

And so upon exit of Shiba's room, Sherlock would find himself under the scrutiny of a tall, severe-looking redhead.

"Lost something?"

"Not at all," Sherlock replied, giving her an almost dismissive once over. Dismissive if one didn't realize how much scrutiny he was putting someone through.

An ordinary telepath might've gotten lost in that brain, but Kerrigan was anything but ordinary. "Really," she said, dryly. "Would you like to run that past me again, hotshot?"

Whether or not I've lost something?"

"What you're doing here," she drawled. "Not that I care what Kukaku gets up to, but strangers roaming around my house?"

"Sherlock Holmes," he replied dryly. "Sarah Kerrigan. Hardly strangers now, are we?"

...someday he'd spook people by being genuinely charming. Today was far from that day.

"And such a smooth talker," said Kerrigan, her voice tinged with a kind of aloof amusement. "Rooting around Shiba's things, are we? But nothing as pedestrian as underwear."

Sherlock rolled his eyes. "That would imply a physical attraction." To, well, anyone. "A deviant one at that."

If he knew anything about pop culture, now would be where a John Hughs reference.

"I think to a great many people, you would classify as 'deviant'," she commented, with absolute blankness where judgement could've been in her tone. "Don't let me catch you here again."

"Gladly," Sherlock drawled, slipping past her toward the door.

Kerrigan rolled her eyes as he passed by her. "Shiba needs to find more interesting playmates," she muttered.
