Office Hours, Tuesday

Sep 21, 2010 08:21

Somehow Sherlock had managed to get a couch into his office for napping sulky fits resting and thinking on. Which would be where he was today, mentally picking through cases that were legally obtained.

If John asked, they were legally obtained through polite, considerate discussion with the local police.

Who were all idiots.

Was it any surprise that William found his way to Sherlock's office?

Dressed in jeans and a sweater, even despite the icon.

"Afternoon, sir," he greeted as he stepped inside.

"Bravo. How do you enjoy the 21st century, William?" Sherlock asked, glancing at him out of the corner of his eye.

"It has its advantages," William had to admit.

"There are files in my desk for you," he replied, closing his eyes again. "Easy ones first."

...easy was a relative word here.

William supposed that was meant to be an invitation to look through said files, and so headed over to Sherlock's desk to do just that.

He paled visibly and sucked in a hard breath as he flipped through the photos from one particular crime scene. Colour photography certainly was... vivid.

"This one," he tapped the paperwork. "The one that the witness claims was the work of, of a werewolf."

Mmmm, evisceration.

"Complete with wolf hair found on the body," Sherlock added. It was in the forensic report.

"Is there a way to get enlarged versions of these photographs?" William asked. "I'd like to- see the wounds more closely," his voice faltered a bit at the thought of examining such gory details in more, well, detail, but he managed to recover enough to finish the request.

It would do for now. "Can you manage a computer?"

"I've been shown the basics." Including how to access Wikipedia.

...Just be glad he hadn't found TVTropes yet, or you'd never see him again.

That at least got an amused snort.

"The flashdrive on my desk has all the images." Because William totally knew what a flashdrive was.

"And a flashdrive is what, exactly?"

Sherlock cracked an eye open to give him a look that questioned his very ability to feed himself. Victorian, Sherlock. Victorian.

"It's small and rectangular. Ask a classmate how to use it."

William searched through the desk's contents until he found what he hoped was the flashdrive, holding it up with a questioning look on his face.

"Yes, yes," Sherlock snapped. "Don't get it wet and don't sit on it, understood?"
