History: obligatory wiki link.
**This history will be tinged with chunks of head canon because he is a very, very minor, under loved character**

In his early days Knuckle rose up in the boxing world as being an undefeated champion, and he wore that title with pride. It wasn’t until he accidentally killed a man in the ring did he decide to retire abruptly, and trade his life of boxing for one of repentance. He became a humble little priest, who refused to raise his fists again. Though being a priest he could only help so many people. Which is where Giotto came in with the foundation for his Vongola, which at the time was simply a vigilante group. Knuckle was not able to actively participate in the group, as he had taken a life of pacifism. Instead he worked as an emotional support giving kind words of advice or just a listening ear, or even giving the Vongola a safe haven within his church in dire situations.

That is, until, the Vongola were in a tight spot with many lives at stake did Knuckle break his vow of pacifism. Though he only permitted himself to fight for three minutes, he turned the tables of the fight and won the battle.

The fact that even what can be assumed was a few years in the priesthood, Knuckle could pull a stunt like that implies that Knuckle had probably been keeping up with his practice. So it can be assumed he learned how to use his powers like that as well, since he certainly wasn’t using them on the field.

(The following is pretty much complete headcanon... but kind of important- all of this was discussed and cleared with the apping Giotto mun as well)

After Giotto retired because of the incidents with Daemon Spade’s betrayal, and the second Vongola boss took over, the Primo and his guardians were hunted down. Knuckle stubbornly remained in his church despite the dangers, which lead him to be one of the first guardians to be picked off. He was assassinated in his church at the ripe old age of 26, but he died happy, feeling he had finally filled out the last of his repentance.

Personality: **For his personality and abilities, his successor Ryohei will be heavily referenced as the two of them have near identical personalities from what is shown and explained**

Knuckle is a good man first and foremost. He’s got a heart of gold, and not a lot of brain power to run it on. He is more or less and oversized child. He’s not the smartest person to ever grace the Earth, and he’s very trusting and naive as well. He won’t lose faith in a person simply for betraying him. Someone could stab him in the back, and he would still welcome them into his house the next day. This makes him very susceptible to being fooled or manipulated, that is if whoever it is doesn’t mind explaining what they want for the three times it takes him to understand it. Though just because it takes Knuckle a long while to process information, and his memory leaves much to be desired, doesn’t mean he can’t give good advice. It’s his job as a priest, and he’s got plenty of heart-wrenching life experiences to base things off of.

Knuckle is also a very PASSIONATE man. Luckily, unlike his tenth generation successor , Ryohei, Knuckle is perfectly capable of using his indoor voice in select situations. Unluckily, 'select situations’ are RARE. He’s got a naturally loud voice and has a tendency to throw the word “Maximum” around quite a bit. The more riled up you get him, the louder he’ll get.

Despite the comical and energetic aspects of his personality, there is a deeper side to him. After killing an opponent in the ring, he became overwhelmed with guilt, and retired from boxing to become a priest. That guilt is still something that haunts him, and he suffers silently for it, dedicating his life to helping supporting others to repent. Hence why he joined the Vongola, which at the time was more of a vigilante group than a mafia at the time.

Even though Knuckle had supposedly hung up his gloves for good, that didn’t mean he gave up on boxing. He kept himself in shape, and has always been proud of his skills. When the situation was dire and the Vongola needed him he was able to step into the fray- breaking his vow of no combat and giving himself three minutes to fight. In the process of three minutes he won the battle, saving some lives in the process.

Fears: Well, considering Knuckle’s history his greatest fears would be centered around the events that drove him to priesthood. Taking another life would crush him. He also already struggles with keeping his vows not to fight again. It is something he feels extremely guilty for. More or less, anything that plays on his massive guilt complex.

Weaknesses: As afore mentioned Knuckle is not the brightest bulb on the shelf, and he’s very gullible and naive. Gaining his trust is easy, and manipulating him is even easier. Also on the rare occasion he IS forced to fight he will only do so for three minutes, after that time he is likely to lower his fists and just let the attacker go at him.

He’s also got some volume control issues. There is no such thing as sneaking around with him in tow.

Lastly, he’s from an older time period, estimating 1900-1920's, cars still needed to be cranked to start when he’s from- most technology will be lost on him... and considering his intelligence trying to learn them could prove difficult.

Mundane Strengths/Abilities: Knuckle was an undefeated boxer in his time, and has been at least keeping up with practicing, even if he’s not actively boxing. He’s also a priest- but just on a regular scale. He may be able to perform an exorcism, but only on average joe terms.

Sensitivity/Magical Ability: Other than being an undefeated boxer, Knuckle comes from a stereotypical Shonen manga that goes on for eons and eons of chapters. He’s well equipped with a good old set of Shonen lasers- or in his case Shonen sparkles. In Katekyo Hitman Reborn the Shonen lasers of choice are elemental flames referred to as 'flames of resolution’. Knuckle’s element are Sun Flames, which have the ability to enhance. They can be used for healing (spurring cells to heal faster) and power-ups. In the case of Knuckle they are used to enhance the own users muscles and joints making him a sparkily power house. He can channel these flames properly with the aide of his Vongola ring. He may know some very minor healing abilities, as Ryohei displays some, but nothing that could ever heal someone with life threatening injuries.

Supply List: His boxing gloves and headgear, maybe some other memorabelia from his boxing days. A bible some rosaries and other priestly things. As well as a pocket watch from Giotto given to all the Vongola guardians as well as his Vongola ring.

Game Transfers: Nein.

Sample RP post:
Well, this certainly was peculiar. Of all the things Knuckle had expected, suddenly just waking up alive was not at the top of the list. He gave himself a quick pat-down before standing up- just had to make sure he still had all the important parts after all. Luckily this body seemed to be well equipped to continue living, and he made his way out to the hallway. It didn’t seem too strange, all things considered, so he meandered about for a while. Odd at just how quiet things were. He had yet to run into anyone.

Perhaps this was was a test from God? Part of his repentance? Had something happened to the rings that had sent his soul into the afterlife? He was interrupted in his thoughts when he heard a rustling down at the other end of the hall, which he wasted no time in going to investigate. Much to his surprise he found a butler walking jerkily along, holding a tray of tea.

“Ah... excuse me could you tell me where I am?”

And the person just continued walking in it’s bizarre little manner. Hm, perhaps it didn’t hear him is all? Well, he certainly knew how to remedy that...

“EXCUSE ME! I SEEM TO BE RATHER LOST AND WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP YOU COULD GIVE ME TO THE MAX!”

The little butler paused, and it’s animal-like head swiveled around so that it was looking right at knuckle... while it’s body was still facing forward. The priest only managed to blink a few times while he was trying to wrap him brain around what he just saw. In that time the butler completely turned to face the priest and walked up to him. Knuckle just continued vacantly staring at the creature, until he was politely handed a cup of tea.

Well that certainly was a nice gesture! Completely disregarding what he had just seen, Knuckle takes the tea with a smile.

“Thank you.”

And here he was thinking this little furry man was some sort of monster! He took a few sips from his tea, with the nagging feeling he had forgotten something important... like where he was.

“Oh! Excuse me, could you tell me where I-” He looked around only to discover the little furry man had suddenly disappeared. “...am.”

He looked around and sighed. Well, at least now he had some tea.
