*Warning - sad reflection about to take place*
I haven't even started to wrap my mind around what's happened. It seems surreal - that a short while ago we were all at gradutaion, calebrating as a class looking forward to the 'future', and that now, only two months later two members of that class are gone. First Abdirauf, now Ben. I never knew Abdirauf, but I did know Ben. We went to middle school together, I even had a fleeting crush on him when we sat next to each other in math freshman year. It's just too much to take in right now - I've barely begun to process it.
Anyway, sorry if I'm being depressing. On a more upbeat note, I was in New York this weekend, which was a lot of fun. I saw 'Sweeny Todd', which EVERYONE who has ever been interested in theater needs to see. It was the most incredible thing I've ever seen. Everything - the actors (who were also musicians), the work as an ensemble, the set, the lighting, and the overall quality of production and design was INCREDIBLE. GO AND SEE IT!!!
Anywhoo...I'm around this week (only working Monday, Thursday, and Sunday) so call me if you'd like to hang out. I'm also going to try and go to the funeral, though I'm not quite sure when or where it is. If you know, could you let me know? Thanks.
