How do you feel about the upcoming The Three Investigators and the Secret of Skeleton Island movie? Do you plan to see it/buy the DVD?

I have seen some online trailers, but only in German. Is it even going to be released in the US?

Not in theaters as far as I know, but it was filmed in English, and it has a USA release date of 2008.

I'm definitely going to see it in the cinema. If I want to buy the DVD after its release depends on how much I liked the film ;)

I saw the movie last night. It was a nice adventure story for children but it was nothing for a "three investigators"-fan. The movie didn't have much in common with the three investigators I know from the (German) books and the plot had absolutely nothing to do with the original story of skeleton island.
Some "mistakes" in the characters bothered me. And I would have liked the German dubbing voices to be those of the speakers in the audiobooks.
To sum it up: A nice movie for kids but nothing for a ???-fan.

I'm hugely excited as I only discovered this by accident, I am reading the German-original Die Drei ??? stories and came across the movie site.

It does look good and I hope it gets a UK theatre release. In the meantime I am hoping to get a sneak preview via BitTorrent and some frantic thumbing through a German dictionary! :D
