I'm still getting the hang of the new camera, but I wanted to share some pictures of the girls...since I promised a long time ago they would be posted!
Friday night there was a sock hop and school. We celebrated Elise's b-day by going out for pizza first then heading over to dance. It was by far the best kid-focused dance I have ever been to in my life. It didn't hurt that all the kids were dressed in 50's garb. They had decorated the lunch counter with pretend soda fountain stools to create T.J's cafe and played lots of great music, including Elvis' "You ain't nothin' but a hound-dog." (Did you notice Alina's skirt? It says "I Love Elvis" across the front of it. ) They also had a Dad and daughter dance...it's nice that Alina isn't too embarrased (yet) to get out there with Keith. Elise won the hula-hooping contest in her age group, and I won in the "Alumni" group -- they awarded me a prize for outstanding "style." Oh, you know I was a graceful as a swan out there, even though I haven't hula-hooped in 20 years and wasn't any good at it even back then! And you notice there's no picture...
