Closer to 40 than 30

Keith officially turned 36 yesterday, which we celebrated by going up to one of our favorite restaurants - Sanford Lake Bar and Grill.  It reminds me a lot of the restaurants we go to when we are visiting Marquette; unpretentious, good food, good beer, friendly people.  Keith even gave the waitress a wink and she brought him a free beer.  It probably helped that we told her it was his birthday. Then we headed home and enjoyed homemade pineapple upside down cake.  YUM.

Keith's present this year was all Great Lakes Loons merchandise, at his request.  A couple of t-shirts and a baseball cap should get him through the summer.  And my mom got him collapsible sawhorses.  Nobody ever claimed to be imaginative in our family when it comes to gift giving!

Nadia is officially sleeping in her bed downstairs!  She's been potty trained for the past 5 months, and her nursing frequency has gone way down. I feel like she's really starting to grow up.  Whaaaaa.  The first night she was in her own room it felt SO lonely up in our bedroom.  I almost went down after she fell asleep to wake her and bring her back up with us!  I don't think Keith would have been happy, though.  He's enjoying being able to get on the computer and jam Dropkick Murphys without worrying about waking Nadia up.

I'm going to go monitor Nadia, since I hear her torturing the cat.  She's is one lucky kid that our cats (all three of them) are nice enough to only meow loudly when she body slams them.  She's been the first kid we've had that does this; I'm hoping it's not a sign of things to come.
