15 characters meme completed

Mar 01, 2013 04:14

This was definitely the most fun meme I've done in a long time! I highly recommend it. As I've chosen some characters that most of my flist probably won't know, I've included a picture, what show/series they're from and the briefest of descriptions for each one.

Fair warning, there are some spoilers for Supernatural, Doctor Who (concerning Jack only), Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the end of Harry Potter in here.

Highlights: Castiel loses his virginity to Captain Jack Harkness, Hermione gives birth to a magical hellspawn with wings, Cutter and Lucifer decide thumb wars are for losers, Angua competes with Spike for Willow's favor, Dean goes on a road trip with Death & Tara and so, so much more.

Meet the cast!

Cutter (ElfQuest)
Elf, Chief of the Wolfriders

Leetah (ElfQuest)
Elf, Cutter's lifemate, healer

Death (Sandman)
One of the Endless

Lucifer (Sandman/Lucifer)
Angel, ex-Lord of Hell

Loki (mostly mythology)
Jotun, God of Mischief

Spike (Buffy)
Vampire, champion and badass

Tara (Buffy)
Human, witch

Willow (Buffy)
Human, witch

Angua (Discworld)
Werewolf, sergeant in the City Watch

Jack Harkness (Doctor Who)
Immortal human, manslut

The 11th Doctor (Doctor Who)
Time Lord and badass

Dean (Supernatural)
Human, hunter and manslut

Castiel (Supernatural)
Angel, sometimes a God

Ginny (Harry Potter)
Human, witch

Hermione (Harry Potter)
Human, witch

Notes: I say Loki is mainly based on mythology as I haven't actually watched the Thor or Avengers movies yet. I believe they kept him close to mythology canon in the movies, so it should be fairly correct for movie!Loki as well. My knowledge of Jack is primarly from Doctor Who, since I haven't seen all of Torchwood. I'm also only in season 5 of Supernatural, so there may be stuff I don't know about Dean and Castiel. I am spoiled about the whole Cas-sort-of-becomes-a-God thing though.

From waddiwasiwitch:
Three, Seven and Twelve go on a road trip. Which one's most likely to steal the car? (Death, Tara and Dean)
Dean obviously handles the acquisition of the car - not that Death couldn't sort it if she needed to, Dean simply wouldn't trust anybody else to pick a decent car. Or choose the music. Neither Death nor Tara are fussy types, though, so they would likely be fine with this and happily settle for packing food and other necessities for the road trip. Death would have games for them to play, much to Dean's despair and Tara's amusement.

Nine and Ten get arrested. What sort of creative way can they find to get themselves out of trouble? (Angua & Jack)
Easy! Jack would try to seduce the guard(s). Angua would make threats and eye up the guards jugulars in a very disconcerting way. Should that not work, she'd default to the tried and tested turn-into-a-large-angry-wolf-and-bare-her-teeth method. Between the two, I have no doubt they would succeed - one way or another.

From wolffan200:
2 asks 7 to go on a date. Where would they go? If 12 arrived how would they ruin said date? (Leetah, Tara and Dean)
A pretty good match, actually! Leetah is open-minded enough to accept her lifemate's relationship with another male, and if I remember right it's canon that she and Cutter would invite Redlance and Nightfall into their tree on occasion. Hence, Leetah would not be phased by going on a date with a female and Tara's not bad looking. For a human.

Tara, on the other hand, might have some reservations with the whole not-human aspect of things and also Leetah's small size, but they'd make it work. Since elves do eat and Leetah, unlike the Wolfriders, isn't opposed to cooked meat, a simple dinner & a movie would work just fine. They'd probably get into a disagreement about what movie to watch, though.

Dean as the date ruiner? Being as how he can be a bit speciesist against non-humans, he'd probably dash in and 'rescue' Tara. I don't think she'd be too pleased about that. Also, he would flirt with her and get slapped for his efforts.

8 is on the run from 14. Why and would they get caught? (Willow and Ginny)
This one is interesting. They're both witches, and quite capable ones at that, so there would definitely be all kinds of magic involved. Willow was pretty powerful at the end of BtVS but since this has her being on the run, I'd imagine it occured prior. Probably during her end-the-world phase. Was she powerful then? Oh yes. But so is Ginny. And Ginny has a broom. My money's on Miss Weasley!

5, 11 and 15 are working undercover at a strip club. What roles do each of them play? (Loki, The Doctor and Hermione)
Oh man, the Doctor would be so uncomfortable. Hermione is absolutely mortified and Loki just laughs and laughs. Loki would, not unsurprisingly, know his way around a pole. And he can shapeshift into female form and has no shame, so that's not a problem either. He'd try to teach the other two how to gyrate and decide in the end that the only hope Hermione ever has of fooling an audience into thinking she's a stripper is by wearing as little as possible to distract their attention. Tassles and a g-string, to be precise. She'd kick up a fuss and try to magic him into a frog or similar, but I don't think that works very well on a God.

The Doctor would withdraw to the background and use his sonic screwdriver to obtain whatever it is they're there to obtain while the other two bicker.

1 must battle 4 in a thumb war. Who is the victor? (Cutter and Lucifer)
Being as how I don't think Cutter would know what a thumb war is, nor see the purpose of one once it was explained to him - and neither would Lucifer - they'd put the matter aside entirely and discuss the nature of war instead.

They'd both lean towards blaming humans for all bad things that happen.

10 and 13 go ghost hunting in a castle. What would happen? (Jack and Castiel)
Castiel would lose his virginity.

3, 6 and 9 are in a zombie apocalypse. Who gets bitten? (Death, Spike and Angua)
Well, Death is immune. Spike is most likely also immune (because the comics, and thus zompires, do not exist), so Angua it is! I'm not sure how the zombie virus would react in a werewolf's body, but it probably won't be very pretty. Death is there for work reasons obviously, and Spike... well, Spike is probably enjoying the mayhem and also trying to stop it somehow.

From maryperk73703:
Okay, 9 meets 3 in a dark alley, who would win the fight? (Angua and Death)
I can see Angua attacking Death because she'd feel threatened and/or would want to protect her loved ones. Death is non-violent however, so she would talk Angua down and try to reason with her. Then she'd tell stories of werewolves she's met in the past and how there are far worse fates. She'd have tons of examples. Angua would likely walk away with a different world-view.

From pickamix:
Okay ... 5 and 15 get swept into another dimension, would they be able to get out? And if so which one of them would do it? (Loki and Hermione)
Loki's the kind of character that wouldn't necessarily mind being swept into another dimension. Hermione would though, thus she'd my bet for getting them out of there. As she is a very capable witch and experienced with things like apparating, she'd probably succeed. Whether she would a) manage to & b) want to bring Loki back with her... well, that's an entirely different question!

And 1 and 4 are trapped in enemy territory, how would they get out? Would they work together well or would they bicker the entire time? (Cutter and Lucifer)
Already being acquainted after the thumb war incident, they would definitely work well with each other. And by that I mean Cutter would provide commentary and ask nosy questions while Lucifer got himself out. Cutter would simply follow in his footsteps.

If flying was required, I'm pretty sure Cutter would be able to talk Lucy into giving him a ride. It wouldn't be so much out of kindness as Gaiman/Carey's Lucifer being practical minded and knows it could be useful to have the Chief of the Wolfriders indebted to him. Cutter wouldn't see a problem with that, he lives in the Now and doesn't worry much about the future. (He will regret it later on for sure.)

From spuffy_luvr:
8 becomes a mentor for 3 and 12. What does 8 teach their students? Who is the better student? (Willow, Death and Dean)
Since it's Willow, she'd be teaching them either magic or something math-y or science-y. Death would definitely be the best student, regardless of what's being taught, as Dean isn't much the school type and would busy himself trying to look down Willow's top and fantasize about Willow/Tara instead. That said, Death has no use for any such knowledge, really. This doesn't mean she wouldn't be genuinely interested in a human's point of view, however - Death is a curious one.

1 and 14 have to raise 10's child. Do they make a happy family? Who is the tough parent and who is the soft parent? What happens when 11 shows up and claims custody? (Cutter, Ginny and Jack + The Doctor)
Cutter is an excellent father to Ember and Suntop, and an awesome adopted-father to the human girl I forget the name of. Ginny is an excellent mother as well, going by the little info we get in the epilogue, so Jack's baby is in capable hands! I'd go so far as to say the baby is worse off when the Doctor shows up to take him or her away.

I also think that both Cutter and Ginny would be able to set aside their respective agendas and chosen life-partners in order to work together and raise the baby. Neither would be terribly comfortable in the role of tough parent, though, so they'd have to swap that one back and forth.

They'd both be opposed to the baby being taken away from them, and they'd both (rightly) question the Doctor's ability to look after a child. The child being Jacks, it's highly likely that he/she isn't all human, but that wouldn't really bother any of the characters involved. The Doctor would try to use it as an arguement that he/she ought to be raised somewhere else, but wouldn't get very far with this angle.

If it came down to it, both Cutter and Ginny would be prepared to fight to defend their charge.

2, 6 and 13 open a business together. What business is it, and would it succeed? What role does each of them play? Would 4 patronize this business? (Leetah, Spike and Castiel + Lucifer)
Definitely something supernatural. I'm not sure what an elf, a vampire and an angel have in common that'd work as a business, but possibly something along the lines of paranormal investigation/advice or possibly security/body guard type work. They're all experienced and intelligent people in their respective fields, though they all tend to not understand/fail at the human world's finer details.

I don't see the business flourishing, to put it like that. Not because they can't get the job done, but because they wouldn't have a clue about advertising, running an effective reception/appointment system or being terribly polite and patient. I can see Leetah being pushed to the front as the human-handling one, while Spike tries to organize everything and Cas stands on the sideline looking confused.

Would Lucifer patronize them? Well, if not in one sense of the word, then the other ;)

5 gets sucked into a Stephen King-like world, where 15 is the villain. What happens? (Loki and Hermione)
Loki would feel right at home in a Stephen King setting, I should think! It's harder to imagine Hermione as the villain. She must be posessed, under a spell or deluded into thinking shes somehow doing the right thing for that to work. Seems like that fits well with a King-like world.

Loki being Loki, he would promptly team up with her to cause havoc. She's a smart cookie though, so she'd eventually figure out the truth of things and try to set them right again. This would make Loki rather disappointed and he'd wander off to find something (or someone) more fun to do.

Conquering aliens land on Earth, and choose 9 as the spokesperson for the human race. How does this work out? Would 9 go to 7 for help? (Angua and Tara)
She most definitely would go to Tara for help, as Angua doesn't consider herself to be a very good spokesperson on behalf of humanity, what with not being very human. Or being very patient. Or good with words. She'd probably end up cutting herself off mid-appeal, grab Tara and push her forward to take over. Tara would do a stellar job at it, despite her initial stuttering.

10 catches 2 shoplifting. Do they help loot the store, turn them in, or try to talk sense into them? What was 2 stealing, and why? (Jack and Leetah)
Wow. Okay. Captain Jack would be just as likely to help loot the store (provided Leetah's reasons for stealing were good) as trying to get into her pants. Actually, he would probably try to get into her pants either way and he wouldn't care one iota that she's tiny compared to him.

Not so sure what Leetah was stealing and why. She doesn't really require anything, the Wolfriders are self-sufficient and not materialistic. It would have to be something she needed for a specific purpose. Maybe a weapon or perhaps some magical object? Either way, she'd be doing it for a good cause unless someone was forcing her to steal.

1,3, 5, 11, 13 and 15 form a bowling league. Are they champion bowlers? Do they make a good team? Do they win by skill or through other means (cheating, beating up the other teams...). What kind of drama is there between teammates? (Cutter, Death, Loki, The Doctor, Castiel and Hermione)
Apart from Hermione, I doubt any of these have ever played bowling before (except possibly maybe the Doctor? Unsure on that one) so I can't see them becoming champions of anything but Most Interesting Team. They'd ace the shit out of that one, though! Loki would be all for cheating and does cheat whenever he can get away with it, but he wouldn't be able to talk the others into his plan. None of them are particularly violent either (unless provoked) so they're doomed to remaining at or near the bottom of the list.

Hermione would take it upon herself to teach all the others how to properly bowl, but she'll have difficulty convincing Cutter that this is worth wasting time on and Castiel would be similarly baffled. Death loves bowling! She's never played before, but she just knows she'll love it and she gets very into it. Unfortunately she's not very good, but she makes up for it with endless (*snerk*) enthusiasm. The Doctor is also not very skilled, but this does not dampen his excitement in the slightest. He and Death are the teams unofficial cheerleaders. They come up with peppy rhymes and insist on team-building huddles and chanting of said rhymes before each game.

After a while, Hermione quits the team and starts seeing a psychiatrist.

2, 4, 7, 10 and 12 are contestants on the bachelor/bachelorette, competing for the hand of 14. Who wins? Who is actually in love with 14? Who would be the best match? (Leetah, Lucifer, Tara, Jack and Dean, competing for Ginny)
Ginny isn't bisexual that we know of, so she would not choose Leetah or Tara. She'd stay the hell away from Lucifer (pun intended), because she's not stupid. That leaves Dean and Jack, both pretty boys with similar attitudes. In the end, she'd choose Dean. He's knowledgable about magic, is kind of like an auror - something she can understand and respect - and is less of a manslut than Jack (not that this says much).

I doubt Dean is in love with Ginny, instead I suspect Tara would be. Ginny is like the Willow Tara fell in love with. Real Willow can never go back to that innocence. Ginny respects magic, does not overuse it and would never dream of controlling Tara in any way. Only too bad she's not into girls. Poor Tara :/

9 and 6 both want to date 8. How do they woo 8? Who does 8 choose, and how does the loser handle it? (Angua and Spike want to date Willow)
This sounds oddly similar to an outline I have, only with Tara instead of Angua. Creepy!

Spike would suck at the wooing. He'd follow Willow around all stalker-y, steal flowers from fresh graves to give her and come on way too strong with suggestive comments and innuendos. So, if Angua swung that way, Willow would probably go for her regardless of how Angua went about the wooing. Spike also has vampire cooties, whereas Willow has already dated one werewolf so another one added to her tally is no big deal.

Spike would not take the rejection well. Not much he can do against a powerful witch and a werewolf though, so he'd wander off to get seriously drunk and start a big ol' brawl to cheer himself up.

From velvetwhip:
3 and 2 are forced to fight to the death - who wins? (Death and Leetah)
This one's problematic, as neither wants to harm another person, especially for no good reason. (I also have trouble imagining what kind of power would be able to bully Death into doing something she doesn't want to.) Putting that aside, I'd say that while Leetah is pretty good with a dagger and can hurt as well as heal with her hands, she's no match for Death.

Would 9 and 12 have a happy marriage? (Angua and Dean)
Absolutely not. Dean would somehow bring up the werewolf Sam dated and ended up having to shoot and Angua would, justifiably, take offence. Dean is also so not her type. They'd make for a great hunting team, however, if Dean was able to get over his speciesism.

6 and 15 are trapped in a room with one TV, what show would they both want to watch? (Spike and Hermione)
They'd swear each other to secrecy and watch Dawnson's Creek. Guilty pleasure for them both ;)

From drizzlydaze:
8 and 13 are born into 1's world. What would they be (e.g. if 1 was from BtVS, would 8 and 13 be a Watcher or Slayer or vamp etc?) and what is their origin story? (Willow and Castiel in Cutter's World of Two Moons)
Willow is a magic user and has control issues, so she'd be kin to Winnowil for sure, making her a Glider. She wouldn't be one of the chosen hunters, I think, but one of the magic users inside Blue Mountain that never go outside and live completely sheltered.

Castiel would be a Preserver :P Preservers are tiny fairy-like creatures that most elves (and humans) find annoying, but useful. They have particularly shrill singing voices.

(Neither Gliders nor Preservers have individual origin stories in this world. They are encountered as groups by the main characters and only a few stand out from the group. Even those don't really have specific origin stories apart from Winnowil - the main villain.)

10 is the master of the universe, 2 is his/her arch enemy, 4 is 2's mentor, 9 is the butt monkey. Write a short drabble about anything in that scenario. (Jack, Leetah, Lucifer and Angua)
Angua does not have it easy in these scenarios, does she? Poor thing. She'd make a terrible butt monkey and would snap at Jack's hands and try to bite him. Captain Jack is a good choice for master of the universe, though - he can't die, he's gone back and forth in time and been all over the universe. Leetah as his nemesis is a bit of a stretch, so Lucifer may need to do a bit more hands-on work than simply mentoring, I fear.

Unfortunately I could not think of anything interesting for a drabble :( I suck.

6 and 14 communicate regularly in a transdimensional chatroom about their lovelife/career/traumas etc. Run with that. (Spike and Ginny)
They'd both be whining at each other constantly about the stupidity of Buffy and Harry. Why can't they see how much they love them? Why are they being so stupid and bullheaded? Why do they always have to do the noble thing?

Ginny would console and support Spike through his abusive relationship with Buffy and Spike would attempt to reassure Ginny that Harry will make it through the final battle okay, because that's what these hero-types do. Post-Chosen, Ginny would be in camp go-talk-to-Buffy and be very disappointed in Spike when he choses not to, but she'd try to understand and be supportive regardless. Post-HP7, Spike would become a fan of the Holyhead Harpies even though he doesn't fully understand this Quidditch thing. Perhaps they'd finally get to meet up if he goes to see a match in her world. They'd remain friends for life.

It's 13's birthday. 5 is the best friend, 6 is the love interest, 12 bakes the cake, 9 is the clown, 3 is the gate crasher. 13 ends up dead. What happened during the party? (Castiel, Loki, Spike, Dean, Angua and Death)
It's Castiel's birthday! I didn't know angels bothered with those but I'll go with it. Out of all these, I have most trouble picturing Angua as the clown. She's... not a very funny-ha-ha werewolf, so if she's there as a clown she's got to have ulterior motives.

Loki as Cas' best friend? Poor Cas. Poor anyone whose best friend is Loki, really. I bet Loki hired an assasin to put the surprise in surprise birthday party. Maybe Angua is said assasin? She was never a member of the Guild of Asassins, but if she somehow lost her job in the Watch and didn't leave the city, I can see her joining them. And she'd be good at it. Not in a stealthy-Vetinari way, but in an a-large-wolf-just-ripped-out-my-throat way. Subtle is not her strong point.

Spike as Cas' love interest is the best thing since powdered sugar! I can definitely see this happening, mostly because I've read Spike/Cas fanfic and may ship them together just a little bit. Okay, a lot. But come on, they'd be hilarious as a couple! (I want to see Spike/Cas roadtrip fic.)

Dean knows how to bake? This is news to me. It's probably one of those cakes that a stripper jumps out of, because Dean is still on his mission to get Cas laid (unaware that Spike has already taken care of that seven ways from Sunday). He would be pretty pissed when Cas ends up dead and would go after Angua with silver bullets. After hunting her down and killing her, he'd go after Loki next. Spike will help. Both have participated in taking out Gods before, so chances are they just might manage!

Death as the gate crasher is super appropriate, as she of course has to show up to send Cas over to the other side when he dies.

2, 3, 5, 7, and 13 form an Evil League of Evil. How well do they work together? What are their interrelationships? What is their first and last heist? (Leetah, Death, Loki, Tara and Castiel)
I like how you managed to skip Lucifer, number 4, in your lineup of Evil League of Evil. (He's laughing at you.) Also, they would have done much better with Lucy on the team, cause as it is? They kind of suck at the whole 'evil' thing; nearly all the characters are genuinely good at heart.

They get along like a house on fire though, as everyone but Loki are fairly easy-going creatures and would try to work together simply because that's what you do. And Loki can play nice when he wants to. Loki's definitely the leader and he must have done something or other to convince the others to form this league. He might have magiced them into following orders or maybe blackmail in Death's case, since I don't think a God can work magic strong enough to affect an Endless.

Leetah and Tara would bond, since they'd both stick to the back row and prefer to heal rather than harm. Death and Cas would get along well, though she'd understand humans better than him what with her hands-on experience from the days she's had to spend as a regular human. He'd be fascinated by her and she by him - they'd actually make a pretty decent couple/team.

Their first and last heist? Stealing Thor's hammer, 'cause someone always tries to do that. Thor and his Avenger pals set a trap, however, and manage to break Loki's spell which tips the scale in their favor. With his team suddenly turning on him, Loki is taken down. As usual.

In the real world without their powers, who would be the most successful (in the conventional sense)?
Willow. She's too much of a do-gooder (and with the smarts to boot) to not excel at whatever she decides to do. Lucifer is a good second, being as how he's already sort of done it; he walked away from the throne in Hell and started playing piano in his LA night club, Lux.

1 takes 15 as his/her lover. One other character of your choice interferes. What happens? (Cutter and Hermione)
This won't go well at all! It's a known fact that the bloodsong of the elves is too much for humans to handle (when Rayek tried to take a human lover, she ended up literally scarred for life and Aroree didn't fare much better with Patch). Some kind of magic needs to be involved to make this work. Also, Cutter is only about 4 feet tall-ish.

Who would interfere? Not sure really, Leetah wouldn't mind too much and Ron isn't on the list so he doesn't get a say. Perhaps Loki, simply on account of being obnoxious. Or maybe Dean decides to try and 'rescue' Hermione like he did Tara earlier.

From brutti_ma_buoni:
4 and 15 make a baby. Romance, science or horror? (Lucifer and Hermione)
Definitely horror. Poor Hermione! Not that Gaiman/Carey's Lucifer would be awful to her, he's not vicious for no reason, but there certainly wouldn't be any love involved, nor much tenderness. He'd see the baby as an investment, someone he can use for his own gain at a later time. And Hermione? Would probably be killed by a jealous Mazikeen before too long, leaving the poor child to Lucifer's devices.

As for the child? A magical hellspawn with wings. The last thing the world needs, I'm sure.

Who out of 6, 8, 10 and 14 is Most Likely To Become an Evil Mastermind? Which is their first victim? Which stands against them? Which hides away and survives? (Spike, Willow, Jack and Ginny)
In this company, I'd have to say it depends on which season of BtVS, as neither Jack nor Ginny have Evil Mastermind written on their faces. Let's go with early season BtVS and choose Spike. Because Spike! He'd go for Willow or Ginny first, having a lot of respect for magic, and he'd likely succeed. Early season Willow had barely begun to explore her powers and would make an easy kill. Ginny would use her broom to get the hell out of Dodge, while Jack valiantly tries to seduce Spike in effort to change his mind.

I can't see Jack actually trying to off Spike. He wears the face of Captain John Hart after all, and Jack wouldn't be able to do it. Would Spike kill Jack? Yes. And most likely turn him, and then the world is really fucked. Let's hope Ginny is able to raise the alert and round up an army post haste.

From goldenusagi:
What would happen if 12 and 3 were snowed in a cabin? (Dean and Death)
They're practically old friends, no? I mean, Dean's died how many times now? Especially taking Mystery Spot into consideration. Death handles everything in stride, so being snowed in is a piece of cake for her. She'd bring out the board games and probe Dean with all kinds of questions about his purpose in life. Dean would quickly get over his squick because hey, Sandman's Death is pretty hot and it's not like dying has ever slowed him down much.
