FRIDAY!!
A rather hectic week is over. Best call of the week: "My printer is only printing half the page." Now, is this cuts off at the top? Doesn't start till the bottom? Printing right or left side? Hmm... Get down to her office, and it's printing right sides. Probably toner cartridge issue. Pop out the toner, and there's a plastic tab, dangling from an inch or two of plastic ribbon. Tell customer that if she pulls the zip-strip THE REST OF THE WAY OUT OF THE FRIGGING TONER, it'll print the whole page.
For those who haven't heard the latest, David Carradine's death may have been an accident, rather than suicide. For certain rather Darwinian values of "accident", that is.
Got some goodies from G Gedney Godwin in my box yesterday. Gots me a good pair of ball forceps, a bullet probe, and crane's bill forceps. I can retire a couple of the makeshift items I've been using.
Speaking of shopping, I ordered a bunch of ammo in April. 3 of the 4 items arrived by early May. The fourth will be reaching me Monday. I got the shipping notice just about exactly 60 days after I placed the order. 3 guesses which caliber took longer even than the .45ACP.
Except for munchies-n-drinkies in the fridge, car's loaded for Highland River Melees. Sunday, working the VCDL table at the Dale City gun show. Hopefully, by Monday or Tuesday things will have dried out enough that I can finish my table and get it stained.
