Ahhh, winter :)

Now this is what I call winter, and what I think winter should be. Temperatures well below freezing, tonight it is actually -3ºF or -19.4ºC. I like to have snow piles so high you can't see over them and everything is covered with a blanket, no, a pillow top mattress and boxspring of snow lol. I like it how when it is this cold they don't use any salt on the roads because it doesn't really work anyway, so the roads have a nice snowpack base to them. I like how at this temperature slush is as scarce as someone outside in a t-shirt. We have been gaced with two large snow events in the last week or so, each putting down over a foot of snow. The first was lake effect snow, so only a small area got a lot of snow, to give you an idea of how small of an area we are talking, at my house we got at least 16.5 inches(about 42 centimeters) in 24 hrs. time, in Buffalo, which is approximately 40 miles (about 64 kilometers)away, the didn't get any. Then on saturday we had a wide spread snowfall, which also gave us over a foot of snow. If only it got below freezing in december and stayed there till march, that is my ideal winter lol. Hopefully, we will stay cold for quite a while now. I also have to mention that a couple weeks ago, right before this cold air came, it warmed up to 70ºF (21ºC), that is NOT winter.
